Roaring Harmonica (Gear)

Stat block: none is visible on the card in the photo, so none is transcribed.

Name: Roaring Harmonica

Subtitle (printed under the name): bone, [illegible], instrument, noisy

Card text:

When you encourage a survivor, they gain +2 strength tokens until the end of the round.

Max volume: When you encourage, roll d10. On a 10+, the monster is knocked down.

Notes:

  • The subtitle keywords are Bone, Instrument and Noisy, which are defined in the Keywords section below. The second keyword is not legible in the photo and is marked [illegible]. It is not guessed.
  • The card's icons immediately before "Max volume" are a red icon and a blue icon. The photo does not show what they mean, so they are not named here.
  • The card's large illustration and the small icons at the top corners carry no rules text.

Roaring Harmonica – White Lion (Pattern Card)

Cost (top left): a grey tab with a hammer icon and a small numeral. The numeral is not clearly legible at photo scale.

Name: Roaring Harmonica

Subtitle (printed under the name): White Lion

Crafting recipe (printed in the black panel at the foot of the card):

Roaring Harmonica

1 x Layered Maxilla 2 x Lion Claw, 1 x Leather

Ability text: [illegible]

Notes:

  • The pattern card's ability text is hidden behind the gear card in the only usable photo, so it is not transcribed. Its text is marked [illegible] and is not guessed.
  • The crafting recipe is read from the same photo at low resolution. The lines are as printed, and the card names no other crafting requirement.
  • An orange bar at the foot of the card shows a triangle icon followed by the words "Heart Flute". The rest of that bar is cut off at the edge of the photo, so it is not transcribed beyond those words, and the words are not interpreted here.
  • The pattern card is crafted during the Develop step of the settlement phase, as described in the Pattern Card keyword entry below.

Keywords (Living Glossary)

Entries from the Kingdom Death living glossary (kingdomdeath.com/rules/living-glossary), reproduced verbatim. Only the entries that the cards above use are included.

Bone (Gear)

A gear keyword. Bone is one of the primary materials used to craft this gear.

Instrument

A gear keyword. This gear can be used to play music.

Noisy

A gear keyword. This gear is hard to keep quiet.

Leather

A gear keyword. Cured hides are a crucial component of this gear.

Encourage

A survival action. A standing survivor may spend 1 survival at any time to encourage a knocked down survivor, letting them stand. Deaf survivors may not be encouraged. Each survivor may only Encourage once per round, and only if the settlement has the Language innovation.

Knocked Down (Monster)

While a monster is knocked down, attack rolls hit on 3+ (in place of normal accuracy). Cancel all reactions, including reactions that might be beneficial to survivors. This does not cancel critical wounds effects (since they are not reactions). If the monster is knocked down by a survivor during an {O}, cancel any remaining actions on its card. A knocked down monster stands when: it draws an AI card, a trap is played, or at the start of the next turn (monster or survivors').

Notes on the Source

  • Official contents photo: the gear and pattern card text were read from the publisher's "Official contents" photo on BoardGameGeek (api.geekdo.com image 9303396). No separate PDF or rules sheet for this pack was found.
  • Gaps: the pattern card's ability text, the gear card's second keyword, the gear card's stat block, and the Layered Maxilla resource card's text are not legible in the available images. None of them is guessed.
