Setup

Place the ghost ship tile next to the turn order tile with the highest number, spring/summer/autumn side up. Place the grey ghost figure on it. At the start of winter, the tile is turned to its winter side.

Auction

Players bid for the ghost ship in the same way as for the other tiles with a turn order number. The winner of the auction takes the ghost figure behind their screen (in spring, summer or autumn), and the ship tile stays in place. In winter, the winner of the auction takes the ship tile as well, and then adds it to their village.

The ghost

In spring, summer or autumn, the player who has the ghost may play it on their turn. The purpose of the ghost is to frighten the workers that make up another player's winning auction bid (a player may not frighten their own workers). The player chooses the same side of the tile where those workers were, and replaces them with the ghost, then puts the other players' frightened workers behind their own screen. They can now use them as normal.

The ghost always wins the tile it is next to, so other workers may not outbid it on that tile. Any workers that made up the losing bid on this tile may be moved by their owner on their turn, as normal, or stay in place, so that at the end of the season they return behind the screen to their owner.

Workers may not be placed on work spaces on the tile the ghost wins, because it is too frightening. However, workers that were placed on the tile earlier stay on it, and at the end of the season they go to the player who won the auction for that tile (that is, the player whose workers the ghost frightened).

The ghost is not a worker and may not be used for auctions or for performing work (or, for example, be discarded to get new workers in the tavern).

End of season

At the end of the summer and autumn seasons, the ghost returns to its ship.

The ghost ship is resolved last, after the village tiles and the turn order. If the ghost was played, it returns to its ship after the tile it won at auction passes to the winning player. If the ghost was not played, it returns to its ship from behind its owner's screen immediately before the ghost ship is distributed.

The ghost is never put into the bag.

If the ghost was played in winter, it is removed from the game. If it was not played, it stays with the player who owns it (but it only gives that player victory points if that player also owns the ghost ship tile).

Victory points

The player who owns the ghost ship tile at the end of winter places it in their village and receives 3 VP, as shown on the tile. The player receives 3 more VP if they also have the ghost figure.

The ghost ship counts as a ship and is counted by the player who owns the "Breeze" (Бриз in the source; but no more than 32).

The ghost is not a worker, and it gives no points for workers.
