Components

  • 4 Loot cards: Beast, Scroll, Potion, Equipment
  • 1 cover card (artwork only, no rules text)

Loot Cards

Each Loot card has two effects, one on each side of its scroll banner, separated by a slash. The slash means "choose wisely": when you play the card, you perform either the left group of actions or the right group of actions. Each effect uses an action that already exists in the base game (Draw, Move, Ranged Attack, Portal, Trap, Swarm, Reinforce).

Beast

  • Draw and Ranged Attack
  • Move and Move

Scroll

  • Portal
  • Move, Ranged Attack, and Ranged Attack

Potion

  • Ranged Attack
  • Look at top 3 Tactic cards, keep all that are Scrolls and discard the others.

Equipment

  • Set Trap
  • Swarm Ranged Attack

Notes

  • The pack prints no new rules text beyond the Loot card effects. The effects use the base game's actions, and the base Keep the Heroes Out! rulebook defines them. Use that rulebook for how each action resolves.
  • The Potion's second effect has the same look-at-top-3, keep-matching, discard-the-rest shape as the base game's Reinforce action, but the match is "Scrolls" as the BGG card-list text states it. The card's icon (eye, three cards, red arrow, Scroll pictogram) is consistent with that wording.
  • "Set Trap" is the base game's Trap action: place a Trap token in the same Dungeon Room as one of your Monsters.
  • "Swarm Ranged Attack" is the base game's Swarm action applied to the Ranged Attack action: all your Monsters in the same Dungeon Room each perform one Ranged Attack.
  • The pack does not print any rules for how Loot cards are acquired, shuffled into the Loot deck, or replaced. Use the base Keep the Heroes Out! rules for those steps.
  • The cover card carries artwork only and adds no rule.
