Setup
One player takes the black pieces, the other the white. The board is placed between the players so that each player's first row (baseline) has an orange space in the lower left corner. Then both players put their pieces on the fields of their baseline, such that the colors of the icons on the pieces match the color of the space on which the piece sits (the blue piece on the blue space, etc.).
Goal
Get one of your own pieces onto your opponent's baseline.
Gameplay
Black begins, and selects an arbitrary piece for the first turn. After Black's opening move, players take turns moving one of their pieces. The following rules apply:
- Which pieces must be moved? The color of the space on which your opponent's move ended, determines color of the piece you must now move.
- How do the pieces move? A piece always move forward, either straight or diagonally. It may be moved as far as you like in a straight line across the empty spaces. The space on which the piece ends its move must also start out empty. It is allowed to move diagonally between two pieces that touch at their corners.
- What is in a blockade? The active player must move his piece when possible. If you can not move the piece, because it is blocked, your opponent moves again as if the blocked piece just landed on its current space. If both players are completely blocked, the player who caused the blockade loses.
