Game Components

  • 1 game rulebook
  • 11 dominoes, numbered 1 to 11
  • 5 guess chips, one side marked with a circle (success; the front, 앞면) and the other side marked with an X (failure; the back, 뒷면)
  • 20 score chips

Setup

  1. Each player takes one guess chip and places it in front of them.
  2. Place the dominoes and the score chips in separate piles on one side of the table. This area is called the supply.
  3. The player who most recently lined up a set of dominoes becomes the starting player.
  4. Stand domino [6] in the middle of the table.

Gameplay

The starting player takes one domino from the supply and stands it so that it is in a line with the domino or dominoes already standing in the middle of the table. Play continues clockwise, with each player standing one domino in the same way, until someone calls "Judge!"

Domino Placement Rules

  • A domino must be stood either horizontally or vertically.
  • Where a domino is placed does not matter, as long as it continues a line with the dominoes already standing. A domino may be stood between dominoes that are already standing.
  • The dominoes do not have to line up perfectly straight with the dominoes already standing, and they do not have to be spaced at equal distances.
  • You may not start a new line of dominoes, and you may not place dominoes so that they form a circle.

Diagram key: "Possible" (가능) and "Not possible" (불가능) examples are shown.

If No Dominoes Remain in the Supply

If there are no dominoes left in the supply, choose one of the dominoes that is standing (not the last domino at either end of the line) and place it at either end of the line.

Calling "Judge!"

When a player has stood a domino, every other player judges whether all the dominoes will fall perfectly, or whether the newly added piece will cause the chain to fail.

  • If you think the chain will fail, you may call "Judge!" (저지!).
  • Any player other than the one who stood the domino may call "Judge!".
  • Once someone has called "Judge!", move on to the Judgment Phase.

Diagram key: If every domino falls, the result is "Success" (성공). If even one domino that is still standing does not fall, the result is "Failure" (실패).

Judgment Phase

In the Judgment Phase, each player secretly chooses a guess chip, showing either the success side or the failure side, so that no other player can see it. Hold the chip in your hand with the side you chose facing up.

  • Once every player has made a guess, everyone says "One, two, three, Judge!" (하나, 둘, 셋, 저지!) and reveals their chip at the same time.
  • The player who called "Judge!" may choose either side, including "Success", even though they called "Judge!".
  • The player who stood the domino must always choose "Success".
  • If everyone chose "Success", the Judgment Phase ends immediately and play continues with the next domino.
  • If even one player chose "Failure", the dominoes must be knocked down.

Knocking Down the Dominoes

The player who stood the domino in this round knocks the dominoes down, starting from the end of the line whose number is smaller.

  • Do not push the dominoes so hard that they are pushed backward. Tap them lightly, just enough to make them fall over.

Scoring

After the dominoes have been knocked down, score points according to the result.

  • Players who guessed correctly score points equal to the number of players who guessed incorrectly.
  • Take score chips from the supply equal to the points you have earned, and display them in front of you.

Scoring example: three players guessed "Success" and two players guessed "Failure".

If the Dominoes Succeed

Two players guessed incorrectly, so the three players who guessed "Success" each score 2 points.

If the Dominoes Fail

Three players guessed incorrectly, so the two players who guessed "Failure" each score 3 points.

End of Round

When scoring is finished, the round ends.

  • Return all the dominoes used during this round to the supply.
  • Then stand domino [6] in the middle of the table again and start a new round.
  • The player who knocked down the dominoes in the previous round becomes the starting player for the new round.
  • If dominoes fell by accident during a round, every player other than the player who knocked them down immediately receives 1 point. Then return all the dominoes to the supply, and start a new round with the player who knocked the dominoes down.

End of Game

The game ends after three rounds.

  • The player with the highest score wins.
  • If players are tied, play additional rounds to decide the final winner.
  • If there is still a tie, share the joy of victory together.
