Components
- 48 number cards: 6 cards each with the numbers 1 to 6, in 8 different colours
- 12 luck cards
- 1 die
- 1 rulebook
Object of the Game
Use a little dice luck and clever card selection to secure the most points after three rounds.
Setup
- Separate the number cards from the luck cards and shuffle each group, placing them as two face-down stacks.
- Place the die next to the stack of luck cards.
Game Flow
The game is played over three rounds. Before each round, turn the top 16 number cards from the stack face up in the middle of the table, arranged in a rectangle of 4 x 4 cards. The remaining number cards are not needed for the current round.
The youngest player begins. Play then proceeds clockwise. The player whose turn it is rolls the die. If the player is not satisfied with the roll result, he may roll a second time, but must then use that roll result for his turn.
After rolling, the player may take any one number card from the display that matches the rolled number and place it face up in front of him.
Example: If the player rolls a 3, he may take any number card with the number 3 from the display.
Note: Only number cards in those colours which are no longer lying in the display at the end of a round may be kept!
The next player in turn then rolls, chooses a number card, and so on.
Attention: The display is never refilled with new number cards from the stack during a round!
End of a Round and Round Scoring
A round ends when a player, after rolling, can no longer take a card from the display. Round scoring then takes place:
- Each player compares the colours of his collected number cards – including those from previous rounds! – with the cards still lying in the display. If there is one or more colour matches, the player must return all of his collected cards of that colour (or those colours) to the middle of the table.
- The player who ended the round must additionally place his card with the highest value into the middle of the table. If he has several cards with the highest value, he may choose one of them. If he has no cards, he cannot give up any card. All cards now lying in the middle of the table are removed from the game.
- Draw luck cards: Beginning with the player who ended the round, each player in turn may give up any one of his collected number cards and draw a luck card from the luck card stack in exchange. A player with no number cards cannot draw a luck card. Luck cards may be used immediately in the next round. An overview describing all luck cards can be found at the end of these rules.
Each player who still has number cards after this scoring leaves them lying face up in front of him. Now the next round begins. For this, the top 16 number cards from the stack are again laid out in the middle of the table as a rectangle of 4 x 4 cards. The new round is begun by the player who ended the previous round.
End of the Game
The game ends after the third round. Each player adds up the values of his collected number cards. The player with the highest secured total wins. In case of a tie, there are several winners.
The Luck Cards
There are two categories of luck cards. Several luck cards may be used at the same time.
Category 1: Luck Cards Kept for the Whole Game
These luck cards stay with the player for the entire game and may be used each time the player is on turn:
- +1 card: The roll result may be increased by 1 for each luck card of this type. Example: With 2 cards of this type, the roll may be increased by a maximum of +2.
- −1 card: The roll result may be reduced by 1 for each luck card of this type. Example: With 2 cards of this type, the roll may be reduced by a maximum of −2.
- Dice card (icon: die): For each luck card of this type, the player may roll one additional time. Example: With 1 card of this type, the player may roll 3 times (instead of 2).
- Same-colour card (icon: several number cards): Any number of same-coloured number cards may be taken from the display, provided their numbers add up to the roll result. A player who has two of these luck cards may additionally raise or lower the sum by 1. Example: A 5 is rolled. The player has 2 cards of this type and takes the following yellow cards from the display: 1, 2 and 3.
Category 2: Single-Use Luck Cards
A player may use each of these luck cards only once in the game. After use, such a luck card leaves the game.
- Cards showing 1, 2 and 3: Instead of rolling, the player may take a card with the number 1, 2 or 3 from the display. The card may also be used after the player has rolled but is not satisfied with the roll result. This luck card may be combined with other luck cards.
- Cards showing 4, 5 and 6: Instead of rolling, the player may take a card with the number 4, 5 or 6 from the display. The card may also be used after the player has rolled but is not satisfied with the roll result. This luck card may be combined with other luck cards.
