Game Material
- A relief board with 15 spaces;
- 18 light-brown and 18 dark-brown cubes.
Object of the Game
Both players take turns building a pyramid from their cubes. When the pyramid is complete, each of its three sides consists of 15 squares. The winner is the player who has more squares than the opponent on at least two faces.
Setting Up
The players agree on who will play the light-brown pieces. Each player takes 18 cubes: the player with the light-brown pieces takes 13 light-brown and 5 dark-brown pieces; the player with the dark-brown pieces takes 13 dark-brown and 5 light-brown pieces (fig. 1). The player with the light-brown pieces starts the game, then the players take turns.
Playing the Game
On their turn, each player chooses one of their cubes (choosing which colour to place) and puts it on one of the 15 spaces on the board (fig. 2) or on a place formed by three cubes already laid (fig. 3).
Cubes that have been placed on the playing area cannot be moved.
If, by placing a cube, a player creates a new place formed by three cubes of the same colour (fig. 4), that player takes any one of the opponent's cubes (of any colour) and puts it on the newly formed place (fig. 5).
If a player runs out of cubes, the other player may finish the pyramid using their remaining cubes.
End of the Game
The game ends the moment the pyramid is complete.
The players count the number of light-brown and dark-brown cubes separately on each of the three faces of the pyramid. The winner is the player who has more cubes than the opponent on at least two of the three faces (fig. 6).
Length of the Game
10-20 minutes.
