Do I remove tributary cards that share a name with a nation in play?

Only when you mix the boxes. Then any tributary card with the same name as a nation a player chose is replaced by a random tributary from the other box (drawing again if the replacement is also unusable). The designer found the combination of playing a nation while its own tributary is in the market too strong and thematically odd. With a single box nothing needs removing, since no Classics tributary matches a Classics nation.
