Transcriber Notes on Gaps

  • The printed insert and the tiles are the only text available for this expansion. The rules printed here are complete as far as the insert and tiles go, but the printed sheet does not restate the base game rules, and none are transcribed here, as this is an expansion.
  • Icons with no name in the printed text are left in brackets: the card icon on Academy of the Unknown, the orange disc on Seedling Lab, the red icon and the star icon on University of Storms. The worker icon is given as "workers" following the BGG item description of the same insert.
  • Rulings not printed on the insert or tiles are not transcribed. A BGG thread (3400088) asks whether a claimed tile stays in the Empire once its two workers are returned, and no official answer was found in the Portal Games Empires of the North FAQ or the Imperial Settlers FAQ v1.0.
