The False Baron Luminaries

The Astronomer

When the Astronomer is revealed, the player who reveals it names a season. For the rest of the round and for scoring, cards of the Stars suit count as cards of that season only.

When you claim the Astronomer, you may name a different season. This overrides the previous choice, and the new choice remains in effect both for the rest of the round and for scoring.

The Collective

When you harvest from the Collective field, you may play any number of cards from your hand and combine them together, as if you were playing a single card with that value. However, the total value of the cards you play must equal the value of one card on the Collective field.

The Drought

While the Drought is in play, you may not harvest cards from the Summer field.

The Echo

When you perform an action on the Echo field, you may immediately repeat the same action on another field (using a different card from your hand). So if you sowed on the Echo field, you may sow a second card on another field; if you harvested from the Echo field, you may make one more harvest from another field.

You must still observe seasonal restrictions. Resolve all effects of the first action, including a change of season if you played a face card, before taking the second action.

The Gambler

When the Gambler is revealed, each player may discard up to four cards. The player who revealed the Gambler collects all discarded cards, shuffles them back into the deck, and immediately deals each player new cards.

When you claim the Gambler, you may discard up to four cards; they are shuffled back into the deck.

The Universe

When you harvest cards from the field containing the Universe, you may also harvest cards from any other field, as if those cards were on the Universe field. To use this effect, you must harvest at least one card from the Universe field.

When you harvest in this way, you ignore the seasonal restrictions of the other fields, and you do not activate the effects of Luminaries on those other fields (such as the Echo or the Mermaid). Treat all of those cards as if they were harvested from the Universe field.
