Can Horizons island boards be mixed with the base game's modular island boards?
Yes, but only as an Archipelago. The designer says Horizons' boards come in a different format, so you must use the Jagged Earth Archipelago rules and have enough table space. Players also report the preprinted boards are smaller and do not tessellate with modular boards, so adjacency takes judgment calls.
