Game Setup
Holiday Hills can be played in two modes, NICE or NAUGHTY. For your first time playing, we recommend playing the Nice Mode, which will use the light blue side of the Town Board. The rules written across the next few pages teach the Nice Mode. Learn how to play the Naughty Mode in the Naughty Mode section below.
- Place the Town Board in the middle of the play area. The Town Board includes JINGLE BELL SQUARE with four surrounding STREETS. Each player resides at one of the COTTAGES in the corner that matches their player color. COTTAGES and their corresponding actions are explained in the Visiting a Cottage section.
- Shuffle the Objective Cards together into one deck and deal each player two cards. Place the deck face down near the Town Board and reveal four cards to form the Display. We recommend excluding the String Light Objective Cards the first time you play. If you want to include these cards, deal each player 2 String Light Objective Cards at the start of the game, then shuffle the remaining cards into the Display as normal.
- Place all 45 Dice Presents near the Town Board within reach of all players.
- Place the Finish Line Ribbons near the Display according to player count. Use one less Ribbon than the number of players, except for a 2-player game (see the 2-Player Variant).
- Select your player color. Take the matching Reference Card, 1 Sleigh, and all of your Decorations (8 Ornaments, 8 Candy Canes, and 6 String Lights). Place your Sleigh on your matching COTTAGE color, facing clockwise. Keep your decorations nearby to form your Inventory.
- IF PLAYING WITH 2 PLAYERS, each player will add 6 Trees to their Inventory and place 6 Stars on top. Flip over the 1st Place and 2nd Place Finish Line Ribbons, and use the side showing two elf icons.
- IF PLAYING WITH 5 PLAYERS, the 5th player will use the Green components (4 Wheelbarrows, 1 Reference Card, 8 Ornaments, 8 Candy Canes, 6 String Lights).
- See the 2-Player and 5-Player variants for details.
- Assemble all 25 Trees. Add 5 Trees to your Inventory, then place 5 Stars of your matching color on top.
- Place 1 of your Trees in the starting PLOT closest to your COTTAGE. Be sure to fill all 5 starting PLOTS to begin the game, regardless of player count. Use Star-less Trees to fill any remaining starting PLOTS.
- Keep the remaining Trees without a Star nearby as all players have access to all 25 Trees during the game.
- CHOOSE FIRST PLAYER: The player who put their Christmas decorations up earliest will be the first player. Otherwise, you may roll dice to determine the first player.
You are now ready to play Holiday Hills!
First time player? We recommend only including the Dice Present and Decoration Objective Cards. Keep the String Lights Objective Cards in the box. We also recommend not playing with the Skill Tree Mini-Expansion which is on the back side of the Reference Card. You may ignore the Bells when not playing with the Skill Tree.
Younger players? For our younger elves, we suggest omitting some or all Objective Cards entirely. More rules for how to scale the game are in the Younger Players section below.
How to Play
A game of HOLIDAY HILLS consists of one lap around the Town Board. You will start and end your game at your COTTAGE. It's a race to get back home, and the first players to make it all the way around the board will earn bonus Cheer Points! But, the players who spend more time on the Town Board will have more opportunities to score Cheer Points through decorating and completing objectives.
Push your Sleigh around the Town Board visiting your neighbors' Homes and borrowing Decorations to place in JINGLE BELL SQUARE, all while collecting and delivering Dice Presents. You will score Cheer Points at the end for how well you've decorated Trees, delivered Dice Presents, and completed Objective Cards. The player who earns the most Cheer Points, wins!
On your turn, you will always MOVE, then TAKE ACTIONS. Turns move clockwise until the end of the game.
1. Move
Choose your path. Before you Push your Sleigh, choose whether you will travel the Top or Bottom Path. The Top Path has more Dice Presents available to Collect, while the Bottom Path provides more opportunities to Deliver your Dice Presents under Trees. You select your Path every turn and you can alternate between the Top and Bottom Paths every turn if you wish. You will always move clockwise around the Town Board.
Push your Sleigh. Push your Sleigh clockwise, moving as far along the STREET as you wish, but no further than the next COTTAGE. Learn more about Visiting a Cottage below.
Park your Sleigh. Park your Sleigh on an ACTION SPACE in front of a Home in the area indicated with decoration icons.
2. Take Actions
Collect and Deliver Dice Presents.
- COLLECT: Take the corresponding action for each Dice Present icon you pass over while Pushing your Sleigh. Each icon indicates a dice color (Red Dice, Blue Dice, Green Dice, Any Dice). Roll the number of dice equal to the number of icons you passed, then add them to your Sleigh with the pips faced upward.
- DELIVER: Icons show Deliver 1 Dice Present or Deliver 2 Dice Presents. Take the number of Dice Presents from your Sleigh equal to the number of Deliver icons you passed, and place the dice in any available spot under a Tree.
Decorate. Each Home provides an ACTION SPACE, allowing you to Decorate in Jingle Bell Square. When you Park your Sleigh, take the Decorations shown on the ACTION SPACE from your Inventory and add them into Jingle Bell Square.
- Add Trees to open PLOTS.
- Add Ornaments, Candy Canes and String Lights to Trees.
Turn Examples
Example One. PINK Pushes their Sleigh along the Top Path and moves two spaces forward. They know they won't get a chance to visit the double Candy Cane House they pass over, but they really want to add a Tree to JINGLE BELL SQUARE and get ahead of the competition.
- While moving, they pass a Wild Dice Present icon. They choose to roll a blue die and get a result, which they add to their Sleigh.
- They Park their Sleigh in an ACTION SPACE that gives them a Tree and an Ornament. They take 1 Tree from their Inventory and place it into an open PLOT in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. Then, they take 1 Ornament from their Inventory and place it on any Tree in JINGLE BELL SQUARE.
Their turn is over.
Example Two. BLUE Pushes their Sleigh along the Bottom Path and moves 3 spaces so they are closer to visiting the next COTTAGE.
- While moving, they pass over 2 Deliver icons and 1 Wild Dice Present icon.
- They already have a Green and a Blue Dice Present in their Sleigh, so they can Deliver both under any two Trees of their choice. They decide to Deliver both under their own Tree, which helps them get closer to a Festive Tree, but also helps Red score 4 Cheer Points since they have 1 Ornament on Blue's Tree.
- Then, they roll a Red Dice Present and add it to their Sleigh.
- Lastly, they Park their Sleigh in an ACTION SPACE with 2 Ornament icons. They take 2 Ornaments from their Inventory and place them on any available Tree space in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. Their turn is over.
Action Space Capacity
Only 1 Sleigh can be Parked at an ACTION SPACE at a time. If you catch up to another player while Pushing your Sleigh, you cannot stop at the same ACTION SPACE, and must either stay behind or pass them. When playing with the Skill Tree Mini-Expansion, you can unlock the ability to share an ACTION SPACE with another Sleigh.
Sleigh Capacity
Your Sleigh can hold up to 2 Dice Presents at a time. If you pass over a Dice icon with a full Sleigh, you may choose to roll the new Dice Present and exchange it, OR keep what is currently in your Sleigh.
Decorating Jingle Bell Square
Decorating Trees is essential to the Winter Festival being a hit, and is your main job on the Tinsel Taskforce. You will want to fill your Trees while also adding decorations to other players' Trees in order to complete Objective Cards. Trees are placed snugly in a single Plot, and planted into the dual-layered Town Board to keep them nice and cozy during the game.
Decorating Trees
- Each Tree has 4 Decoration Spots available.
- You can add any of your Decorations (Ornament, Candy Cane, String Light) to any player's Tree as long as a Spot is available on that Tree.
- Ornaments and Candy Canes fill 1 Spot, while String Lights fill 2 Spots on adjacent Trees.
- String Lights can only be added to Trees that are next to each other orthogonally (up and down or left and right), NOT diagonally. (They won't reach, we promise.)
If you Park your Sleigh in an ACTION SPACE that gives you String Lights, but there are no two adjacent Spots available, return the String Lights to your Inventory.
You may Rotate a Tree while in a Plot to open up a spot for you to Decorate with String Lights. Once a Tree has String Lights attached to it, that Tree can no longer Rotate.
Deliver Dice Presents
Dice Presents are placed in one of four available spaces under a Tree and cannot move again once placed. A Tree can have up to 4 Dice Presents under it, at most. You can Deliver Dice Presents under any Tree in JINGLE BELL SQUARE as long as a spot is available.
Dice Presents can only be Delivered where a Tree is present. There are only 15 of each color, so if you run out... That's it!
Visiting a Cottage
Being on the Tinsel Taskforce is hard work, so you have to refuel with milk and cookies after completing a STREET. As you move around the Town Board, you will eventually visit another player's COTTAGE.
You MUST stop at a COTTAGE before continuing on to the next STREET. When you Park your Sleigh at a COTTAGE, you will always:
- Deliver any Dice Presents currently in your Sleigh (2 at most).
- Select 1 Objective Card from the Display and add it to your hand, keeping it hidden from other players for the duration of the game.
- Replace the chosen card with the top card from the deck.
Adding Objective Cards
You will always end the game with 6 Objective Cards in your hand (2 cards to start the game, and +1 at every COTTAGE you visit, including your own on your final turn). Some game modes allow players to gain more than 6 Objective Cards.
Example: RED has made it to the end of the Street and now must visit PINK's COTTAGE. They had 2 Dice Presents in their Sleigh, so they Deliver them under two different Trees. Then, they add 1 Objective Card from the Display and replace it with the top card from the deck.
Game End & Scoring
Once all players have arrived back at their own COTTAGE, the game ends. Add up everyone's Cheer Points, and whichever player scored the most, wins! The winner receives THE KEY TO THE CITY from Mayor Holly Daze as a sign of how good they are at Christmas!
Scoring Trees
Trees are Scored by the owner of the Tree, indicated by the color of the Star on top of the Tree. A Tree can be both FESTIVE and FULL, scoring up to 18 Cheer Points if the requirements are met.
- Festive Trees score 8 Cheer Points each. A Festive Tree consists of having four Decorations attached to it, regardless of the Decoration colors or who placed them. (Example: PINK has a FESTIVE TREE with 4 Decorations attached. Red and Blue likely added these to help complete Objective Cards or to score points for high value Dice Presents under this Tree.)
- Full Trees score 10 Cheer Points each. A Full Tree consists of having four Dice Presents under a Tree, regardless of dice colors or who placed them. (Example: RED has a FULL TREE with 4 Dice Presents underneath it. If they can add 2 more Decorations, they will also have a FESTIVE TREE!)
Scoring Dice Presents
Players with the most Decorations on a Tree earn Cheer Points for the highest-value Dice Present, with subsequent players earning points for the next highest Dice Present in descending order. Stars count as one Decoration. The number of pips on a single die = Cheer Points.
- BLUE has 3 Decorations (Ornament, String Light, and Star), while Red has 1 (String Light). Blue scores 6 for the highest-value dice. Red scores 4 for the second-highest.
- If multiple players have the same number of Decorations on a Tree, they each score the same Dice Present. RED has 3 Decorations (Candy Cane, String Light, and Star), while both Pink and Blue have 1 Decoration each (Ornament / Candy Cane). Red scores 6 for the highest-value dice. Pink and Blue score 6 because the second-highest dice is also a 6!
Scoring Objective Cards
Objective Cards are a vital way to earn a lot of Cheer Points. Use your Decorations and Dice Presents to match the patterns on your cards.
- Decoration Objectives are all about placing your color Ornaments and Candy Canes on any Tree in JINGLE BELL SQUARE to match the card. As long as your decoration is attached to a Tree as shown on the card, it counts towards your point total. You earn Cheer Points on the card equal to however many decorations you matched on the pattern. You can turn cards to help!
- Dice Present Objectives: You will earn Cheer Points according to how well you matched the color of the Dice Presents as shown on the card to 1 of your Trees in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. You will earn Cheer Points equal to how many Dice Presents you matched on the card. Example: BLUE scores all 8 Cheer Points for matching the pattern exactly. PINK scores 7 Cheer Points for matching 3 of the 4 Dice Presents (Red, Green, Blue); they need 1 more Red to earn 11 Cheer Points.
- String Light Objectives: You will earn Cheer Points according to how well you matched the pattern on the card with your String Lights colors in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. As long as you have 1 String Light connected to 2 adjacent Trees, it counts towards your point total. You will earn Cheer Points on the card equal to how many String Lights you matched. Example: YELLOW scores 6 Cheer Points for matching 2 of the 3 String Lights. They flipped their card upside down to help them achieve it easier!
Scoring Bonus: Finish Line Ribbons
Use one less Ribbon than the number of players. Award Cheer Points according to the order players arrive back to their COTTAGE. When you Push Your Sleigh to your COTTAGE, take the necessary Actions, then take the ribbon in the order you arrived and place your Sleigh on it. Add these Cheer Points to your total at the end of the game.
Example: BLUE arrived back to their Cottage first, so they earn 14 Bonus Cheer Points. YELLOW arrived second, earning 6. Either Red or Pink will earn 4 next and last earns 0.
Score Pad
Included in your game is a score pad to help you keep track of all the Cheer Points you accumulated (25 sheets).
Complete Scoring Example
The scoring examples use 2D graphics, which also represent how you can play using the 2D Tree Tiles instead of the 3D Trees. Objective Cards are private in each player's hand until the end of the game. There are extra spots in the "Bonus" area of the score pad for help scoring expansion content.
- Festive Trees (four Decorations on your Tree, regardless of the Decoration colors or who placed them): BLUE 5 Festive Trees = 40 Cheer Points; RED 4 = 32; PINK 4 = 32; YELLOW 5 = 40.
- Full Trees (four Dice Presents under your Tree, regardless of dice colors or who placed them): BLUE 1 Full Tree = 10; RED 1 = 10; PINK 0 = 0; YELLOW 2 = 20.
- Dice Presents (Cheer Points for the Dice Presents based on how many Decorations you have on a Tree and if there are dice to score): BLUE 8 activated dice = 36; RED 12 activated dice = 42; PINK 8 activated dice = 36; YELLOW 11 activated dice = 47. The best way to score Dice Presents is to start from one corner, awarding each player Cheer Points square by square.
Final totals in the example: Blue 132, Red 147, Pink 123, Yellow 153.
Helpful Hints
- Plan your Sleigh movement to maximize ACTION SPACES and turn efficiency.
- Balance decorating your own Trees with decorating other players' Trees to complete Objective Cards.
- Be careful not to be too giving, as filling other players' Trees helps them earn points too.
- Strategically select Objective Cards that can overlap or that already align with your patterns in JINGLE BELL SQUARE.
- Make sure to Deliver Dice Presents where you have Decorations so they can score even more points!
- Dice Presents that are a 6 are very valuable.
Naughty Mode — Variant Rules
To win the NAUGHTY MODE in HOLIDAY HILLS, you will need to be more tactical when adding your decorations to Trees. Be careful not to set up your competition with the perfect move for them to claim a Tree by filling the 4th spot on a Tree and adding their Star!
Game Setup
- Flip the Town Board over to the Naughty side (a darker shade of blue around the border).
- Place all 25 Trees in JINGLE BELL SQUARE to start the game. Place 1 of your Stars on the Tree in the starting PLOT closest to your COTTAGE. Keep your remaining 5 Stars in your Inventory.
All other setup is as normal.
How to Play
Each player's turn acts the same as the standard Nice Mode, but now each STREET includes SPECIAL ACTION SPACES that allow players to manipulate Decorations in JINGLE BELL SQUARE.
Adding Your Star to a Tree
The player who adds the 4th and final Decoration to a Tree will now claim ownership of that Tree by placing their color Star on top of it. All Decorations and Dice Presents associated with that Tree will now count towards Scoring for each player per the normal rules.
Once a player has placed all 6 of their Stars, they no longer can claim Trees in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. They continue the game as normal until Game End.
Special Action Spaces Guide
NAUGHTY MODE adds 2 SPECIAL ACTION SPACES to each STREET. Each provides one of the following if you Park Your Sleigh there:
- Choose one: Ornament / Candy Cane / String Light.
- Choose one: String Light / Ornament + Candy Cane.
- Choose one: Add an Objective Card from the Display into your Hand / Ornament + Candy Cane.
- Swap any Ornament or Candy Cane with another Ornament or Candy Cane in JINGLE BELL SQUARE.
- Swap any String Light with another String Light in JINGLE BELL SQUARE.
Helpful Hints
- The NAUGHTY MODE is meant to be a bit meaner. If you enjoy games that let you mess with your opponents, then this was designed for you!
- Sometimes you will need to set up an opponent to claim a Tree. If you are strategic about where you Deliver Dice Presents, then you can still earn lots of Cheer Points by having a Decoration on another player's Tree.
- Use the SPECIAL ACTION SPACES to your advantage, because all players will have the opportunity to use them during the game as they Push their Sleigh around town.
FAQ
- If I swap a Decoration on a Tree that already has a Star on it, can I claim that Tree for myself since I (technically) placed a Decoration on it last? No. Once a Star is placed, it is permanently on a Tree.
- Is there any way to swap Dice Presents in Naughty Mode? No. Dice Presents do not move once they are Delivered.
- If I add the 4th Decoration to a Tree, am I required to put my Star on top of it? Yes! What kind of Scrooge would fully Decorate a Tree then not top it with a Star?
- Since I have 6 Stars in my Inventory, does that mean I could have 6 FULL TREES? Yes! Try to use all your Stars!
- Can NAUGHTY MODE be combined with the Skill Tree Mini-Expansion, or other game modes and Expansions? Yes! HOLIDAY HILLS is very modular. Explore all the combinations to find your favorite way to play.
End Game + Scoring
Game End is identical to the Nice Mode rules when all players arrive at their own COTTAGE. Scoring is also identical to Nice Mode.
2-Player Variant
When playing with only two players, each player will have access to all 6 Stars. While playing the NICE MODE, each player takes 6 Trees and adds their Star to each of them, instead of the usual 5 Trees. You will also use the two-player Finish Line Ribbons, indicated by two elf icons.
5-Player Variant
When playing with 5 players, the fifth player will take on the role of Rockin' Robbie and his 4 elf assistants. Rockin' Robbie instructs his elves where to Push their Wheelbarrows along each Street, blocking Action Spaces to make it more difficult for his fellow Tinsel Taskforcers to visit Homes.
Setup
- Place 1 GREEN CABIN tile beside each COTTAGE, then place 1 Wheelbarrow on each GREEN CABIN tile for a total of 4 on the Town Board.
- Place 1 green Star on top of 1 Tree and place it in the center of JINGLE BELL SQUARE, green's starting PLOT.
- All other setup proceeds as normal.
All players create their Inventory: 8 Ornaments, 8 Candy Canes, 6 String Lights, and Trees: Nice: 4 Starred Trees; Naughty: 5 Stars.
Gameplay
Player five's turns and their Wheelbarrows function identically to Sleighs, except in the following ways:
- Player five uses green components. Instead of Sleighs, they will Push their Wheelbarrows around the Town Board.
- Each Wheelbarrow moves clockwise from one GREEN CABIN to the next GREEN CABIN. Once a Wheelbarrow arrives at the next cabin, it is no longer used in the game.
- Wheelbarrows only carry and Deliver 1 Dice Present at a time.
- Once a Wheelbarrow reaches the next GREEN CABIN at the end of the Street, that Wheelbarrow is removed from the game as that assistant's shift is over.
- Once all 4 Wheelbarrows have reached the next GREEN CABIN, Player five's game ends. If they placed on the Finish Line Ribbon, put 1 Wheelbarrow in the appropriate spot on the Ribbon.
Skill Tree Mini-Expansion
Adding the Skill Tree Mini-Expansion allows for the Tinsel Taskforce to get more skillful as they accomplish goals during the game. Completing all 5 Skill Tree goals will also add an additional 10 Cheer Points to your final score! (Completing the Skill Tree requires some real talent! In order to accomplish such a feat, you'll need to find a way to achieve 4 Festive Trees and 3 Full Trees.)
We recommend playing with the Skill Tree Mini-Expansion after you have played HOLIDAY HILLS at least once so that you are familiar with the rules and don't need the Player Reference on the back of this card for assistance.
Setup
- Flip the Player Reference card over where the Skill Tree is visible.
- Gather your 5 Bells with your color bow on them and place them above the Skill Tree in each Goal Space.
How to Play
- Each Bell is unlocked from a Goal Space when you accomplish the goal underneath it.
- Once you have accomplished the goal, place the unlocked Bell on any open Achievement Space on your Skill Tree to activate either the Instant Action or Ongoing Ability.
- You may choose to activate the Instant Action on another turn, just keep the Bow face-down until you're ready to perform the Instant Action, then flip it over!
Ongoing Abilities
- When you Collect a Dice Present, add 1 to your roll.
- When you Collect a Dice Present, you may re-roll it once.
- When you Push your Sleigh, you can share an Action Space with another Sleigh or Wheelbarrow.
Instant Actions
- Swap up to 2 Objective Cards from your hand with Objective Cards in the Display.
- Swap 1 Decoration (Ornament, Candy Cane, or String Light) from YOUR Tree with a Decoration from ANY Tree. Must abide by placement rules.
Additional Game Modes
2D Gameplay
If you find the dexterity of HOLIDAY HILLS challenging, we've included 25 Tree Tiles that can be used instead of the 3D Wooden Trees. You can play the same way, but instead of placing the 3D Trees into Jingle Bell Square, place the Tree Tiles on a PLOT instead.
- Use the same components for Decorations and Dice Presents.
- Tree Tiles are double-sided so you can play NICE or NAUGHTY. The NAUGHTY side does not include a Star Symbol, meaning players will place their Stars on the Tree Tiles to claim a Tree.
Special Action Tiles
TO ADD MORE COMPLEXITY to the Nice or Naughty Mode, you may place SPECIAL ACTION TILES on top of any ACTION SPACE. These tiles are similar to those found in the Naughty Mode.
- Nice Mode tiles: Choose one: Ornament / Candy Cane / String Light. Choose one: String Light / Ornament + Candy Cane. Choose one: Add an Objective Card from the Display into your Hand / Ornament + Candy Cane.
- Naughty Mode tiles: Swap any Ornament or Candy Cane with another Ornament or Candy Cane in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. Swap any String Light with another String Light in JINGLE BELL SQUARE. Swap one Objective Card from your Hand with one Objective Card from the Display. Re-roll any one Dice Present currently in your Sleigh.
Green Cottage Tile
If you're one that always plays the color green: place the Green Cottage Tile on top of any unused Cottage during setup and place your Green Sleigh there to start. Now, you can play as Green in either the Nice or Naughty Modes.
Closed Tiles
FOR A SHORTER GAME, you may add 1 Closed Tile to each STREET, reducing the number of turns. Select 1 ACTION SPACE on each STREET to cover with a Closed Tile. You cannot Park your Sleigh here during the game, but the Collect and Deliver Dice icons on the Top and Bottom Paths remain. There are 8 Closed Tiles included. We recommend removing up to four turns from the game, but you can remove as many as you wish.
Younger Players
We designed HOLIDAY HILLS to be approachable for gamers of all ages and skill levels. You can remove complexity in a few ways:
- Remove Objective Cards. Removing Objective Cards allows players to solely focus on creating Full and Festive Trees. We recommend still scoring Dice Presents.
- Push Your Sleigh in a straight line, not along the Paths. If selecting a Path is a bit complex, we recommend playing where you can Push Your Sleigh to any Action Space along the Street. Activate any/all Dice Present icons you pass while Pushing Your Sleigh. This allows for full player flexibility.
Path Action Tokens
TO ADD MORE COMPLEXITY to the Nice or Naughty Mode, you may place the Path Action Tokens in empty areas throughout the Top and/or Bottom Path. As you travel either Path, you may add the token to your Inventory to spend during a future turn. Once a Path Token has been played, discard it immediately.
Setup:
- Shuffle all the Path Action Tokens face down.
- Deal each player an equal number of Path Action Tokens. If there are any left over, do not include them.
- Each player randomly places the Path Action Tokens face down in empty spaces along either Path of their Street.
- Once all Path Tokens are placed, flip them over to reveal their actions. Place any remaining tokens back in the box.
Quick Start Guide
Game Setup
Place the Town Board in the center of the table. Select a player color and take the matching Decorations and Reference Card. Add 5 Stars to the top of 5 Trees. Place 1 Tree in the Starting Plot in JINGLE BELL SQUARE, and keep the other 4 nearby. Place your Sleigh on the matching COTTAGE color. Shuffle the Objective Cards, deal each player 2 cards, and reveal 4 cards above the Town Board to form the Display. Keep all dice nearby.
On Your Turn
- PUSH YOUR SLEIGH clockwise along the Top or Bottom Path as far down the Street as you wish. You MUST stop at COTTAGES.
- PARK YOUR SLEIGH on an ACTION SPACE in front of a House.
- TAKE ACTIONS:
- Collect and/or Deliver any Dice Presents according to the icons you passed over while Pushing your Sleigh.
- Decorate in JINGLE BELL SQUARE by taking the items shown on the Action Space from your Inventory and placing them wherever you wish. You will add Trees to open Plots, and add Ornaments, Candy Canes, and String Lights to Trees.
Key Game Notes
- Cottages: You MUST stop at a COTTAGE located in the corner of the boards. When you do, Deliver any Dice Presents currently in your Sleigh, then add 1 Objective Card to your hand from the Display. Replace the card from the top of the deck.
- Objective Cards: Keep your Objective Cards private until the end of the game. You will always end the game with 6 Objective Cards in your hand.
Game End + Scoring
The game ends when all players have returned back to their own Cottage. You earn bonus Cheer Points according to the order in which you arrived.
- FESTIVE TREES (8 Cheer Points) — 4 Decorations on your Tree, regardless of color or who placed them.
- FULL TREES (10 Cheer Points) — 4 Dice Presents under one of your Trees, regardless of color or who placed them.
- DICE PRESENTS — Having the most Decorations on a Tree earns Cheer Points for the highest-value Dice Present, and continues on in subsequent order for each player. Stars count as 1 Decoration. The number of pips on a single die = Cheer Points.
