Goal

Lay out all of your tiles on the table faster than the other players and become the winner!

Setup

The dealer counts out 7 tiles face down. The dealer's left-hand neighbour places these tiles on the table as shown in the setup figure: they start with the central tile (1), then place the remaining 6 so that they touch each other with segments of the same colour.

With 2–4 players, each player is dealt 15 tiles face down. Return the extra tiles to the box. With 5 players, each player is dealt 13 tiles face down.

Players place their tiles in a face-down stack in front of them or hold the stack in hand. Players do not look at their tiles until the game begins!

Place the round markers nearby. Before each new round begins, return one round marker to the box.

Gameplay

The game begins on the dealer's command. All players play simultaneously: each turns over the top tile of their stack and tries as quickly as possible to attach it to the figure laid out on the table, so that all touching segments match in colour.

A new tile and the figure on the table may not touch each other by only one segment, even if that segment matches in colour. (a)

If a player cannot place their tile, they may discard it by placing it face down in front of them and turning over the next tile in their stack. If a player cannot place the new tile either, they discard it in the same way. A player may at any time turn over one of the tiles they have discarded and place it.

Only one tile may be face up at a time!

  • When a player places a tile that touches the figure on the table with two sectors of matching colour (a), they call out "Two!" and turn over the next tile from their stack. If they cannot place the new tile on the table, they discard it, and so on.
  • When a player places a tile that touches the figure on the table with three sectors of matching colour (b), they call out "Three!" and may give two tiles to any one player (or one tile each to any two players). Then they turn over a new tile and try to place it according to the rules above.
  • When a player places a tile that touches the figure on the table with four sectors of matching colour (c), they call out "Four!" and may give 4 tiles to any one player (or distribute them among any two, three or four players). Then they turn over a new tile and try to place it according to the rules above.

All touching sectors (1, 2, 3, ...) must match in colour!

  • When a player places a tile that touches the figure on the table with five sectors of matching colour, they call out "Five!" and may give 6 tiles to any one player (or distribute them among any two, three or four players).

If the player has fewer than 6 tiles, they give away all of their remaining tiles, call out "Stop!" and win this round.

  • When a player places a tile that touches the figure on the table with six sectors of matching colour, they call out "Stop!" and immediately win this round!

In each new round, the role of dealer passes to the next player clockwise.

End of Game

The winner of the current round is the player who first gets rid of all of their tiles.

The other players each lose one penalty point for each tile they have not placed. Players record their penalty points on a sheet of paper.

The winner of the game is the participant with the fewest penalty points after all 10 rounds!

Good luck!

Notes

If none of the players can place a single tile (which happens rarely), the round ends, and each player loses one penalty point for each tile they have not placed.
