The Wanderarbeiter (Wandering Worker)

The Wandering Worker is placed as the sixth personality next to the game board, so that it lies in a row with the other personalities.

The Wandering Worker behaves, rules-wise, exactly like the other five personalities, including the personality tile (Personenplättchen). The number of victory points needed to win remains unchanged.

The Wandering Worker makes it possible, for each coin spent, to move an unmarried villager who already resides in one of their own buildings to another free building in their own village, or to their own village square (Dorfmitte).

Villagers moved to the village square

If a villager is moved to the village square, the following applies:

  • Free buildings are only occupied at the end of the round, when the children return from school to the village, or when the builder erects one or more new buildings.
  • If a villager was moved to the village square with the Wandering Worker, they may be married in the current round, or be placed in a building erected afterwards in the same round.
  • If the villager is still in the village square at the end of the round, they move back into a free building. This may be the building they left by means of the Wandering Worker.
