  • 1 deck of materials (110 cards)
  • 1 deck of projects (36 cards)

Set Up

Spread the materials deck out on the playing area face down, thouroughly mixing them. This area is called "The Scrapyard." Divide the projects deck into 6 piles and place them face down around the Scrapyard. Each player then draws 6 cards from the scrapyard.

Object

The object of the game is to construct buildings with the material you draw from the scrapyard. Each building has a different point value, depending on how hard it is to build.

Play

Once everyone has drawn their six cards, flip over the top card on each of the 6 piles. This marks the beginning of the round. Everyone then attempts to build the available buildings. To construct a building, use the cards in your hand and match them with the materials indicated on the project card. Whenever a building is constructed, call out "Hecho!", take the project card and place the required materials on top, setting them aside, and flip over the next project card.

The player who built draws two new cards from the scrapyard. All other players draw one new card from the scrapyard.

Example: The Plaza requires 6 Ladrillo and 4 Cemento to build, a player must have a 6, 7,8, or 9 of Cemento in their hand as well as a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 of Ladrillo. Alternatively, they can combine cards together to reach the required amount. (i.e. a 2 and a 3 of Metal can combine to build a building that requires 5 Metal.) A Specialist can also be used.

The Plaza is worth 10 points as indicated in the upper right hand corner of the card.

Specialists

The deck also contains 12 specialist cards (two specialists for each material):

These cards can be used to build using material that is not specified by the building card. In essence, the specialist can use their material of expertise in the place of another required material.

Example: If I have a Carpintero card and a 5 Mardera, I can use that 5 Madera as a 5 Ladrillo or a 5 Plastico, etc. When using a specialist to build, discard it with the other materials being used.

Comodín (Wild)

Comodín cards can be used as one of any material. They can combine with other materials and can be used in a scrapyard exchange.

Scrapyard Exchange

At any point, if players have a pair of matching value cards they can exchange them for two new cards from the scrap yard. To do this, simply take the pair, (e.g. a 3 Metal and a 3 Plastico), show them to the other players, and reinsert them into the scrapyard face down. Then take 2 new cards from the scrapyard.

Trading

While trying to build, players can trade with each other to try to better their hand. However, when trading, players may not indicate the type of material being traded, only the numerical value.

Example: If I have a 6 Vidrio that I want to trade I'll announce to the other players: "I've got six." to which another player may respond, "I'll trade you 6" or "I'll give you 5 for it." Both parties agree and the exchange is made. Keep in mind, I could trade a 4 and a 2 for a 6.

Ending the game

The round ends when all of the buildings from one of the 6 piles has been built. Add up the numbers on the top right corner of each building card for your score. The player who completes the last building is awarded an additional 10 points.

A standard game consists of 4 rounds. The player with the most points at the end of 4 rounds wins.
