Setup

Set the 5 multicolour cards aside. They are used only for the "Avalanche of Colours" extension.

Variant: "Timed Choreography" (Chorégraphie minutée)

When playing a card to advance a firework, the active player may announce which colour the card completes. If they were right, the card is placed according to the usual rule and the player may put one blue token back into the lid of the box (a second one if it is a 5 card). If they were wrong, the card is discarded and a red token is added to the lid of the box.

Players are free to make this announcement or not, knowing the risks involved.

Extension: "Avalanche of Colours" (Avalanche de couleurs)

Add the 5 multicolour cards to the draw pile. They are treated as a full colour in their own right (a sixth colour).

Players may therefore give information about them (for example: "You have two multicolour cards in your hand, here and here").

Players now have 6 fireworks to complete instead of 5, and the maximum score is now 30 points.

The printed score scale on the same page lists 30 as the top rating, "Divine, laisse en émoi le ciel lui même" (translated: "Divine, it stirs the sky itself"). The base game's score scale is not reproduced here.
