Components

  • 40 large cards with pictures made up of halves of items
  • 64 small cards with items to be found on the large cards
  • 6 mirror cards

Goal of the Game

Using the mirror, search for the hidden items drawn on the pictures. The first player to collect 10 small cards wins.

Variant 1

Setup

Shuffle the large cards and the small cards separately and place both decks face down on the table. Each player takes a mirror. Each player also takes 1 large card from the deck and places it face down in front of them. Place 12 small cards from the deck face up in the centre of the table.

Then all players simultaneously turn over their large cards and begin play.

(Setup picture for two players is shown on the page.)

Play

Everyone plays at the same time. Each player uses their mirror on their own large card to look for the halves of the items shown on the small cards in the centre of the table.

As soon as a player finds an item, they show it to the other players using the mirror, then take that small card for themselves. The player places a new small card from the deck in its place, and play continues.

If a player makes a mistake, they give one of their small cards as a penalty: they place it face down under the small card deck. If the player has no small cards, nothing happens.

Each player may once per game say "Замена!" ("Replace!"). Then ALL players put their large cards on the discard pile, take new large cards from the deck, and continue play.

End of the Game

As soon as one of the players collects 10 small cards, the game ends and this player is declared the winner.

Variant 2

Setup

Shuffle the large cards and the small cards separately. Place the large card deck face down in the centre of the table. Place 12 small cards from the deck face up around it. Place the remaining small card deck face down nearby. Each player takes a mirror.

Then turn the entire large card deck face up and begin play.

(Setup picture for two players is shown on the page.)

Play

Everyone plays at the same time. Without the help of a mirror, players look at the large card in the centre of the table for the halves of the items shown on the small cards around it.

As soon as a player finds an item, they show it to the other players using the mirror, then take that small card for themselves, and play continues.

If a player makes a mistake, they give one of their small cards as a penalty: they place it face down under the small card deck. If the player has no small cards, nothing happens.

When one of the players takes the next small card from the centre of the table and only 9 of the 12 remain there, they immediately place three new small cards from the deck, and remove the top large card from the deck to the discard pile. Play continues.

Note: if all players agree that the large card in the centre of the table contains no items shown on the open small cards, remove the top large card from the deck to the discard pile and continue play.

End of the Game

As soon as one of the players collects 10 small cards, the game ends and this player is declared the winner.

Variant 3 (Team Game, 3–6 Players)

Setup

Divide into two equal teams. If one team has one more player than the other, that is allowed. Each player takes a mirror.

The rest of the setup follows the rules of Variant 2.

Play

Play follows the rules of Variant 2 with one exception: players stack all the small cards they win toward their team's score.

End of the Game

The first team to collect 10 small cards wins.

Notice

Small print. An adult player may be needed to read the rules.
