Aim of the Game

Guess who is on the other player's Mystery card before they guess who is on yours.

Get Ready

  • Give one set of Face cards to each player, blue or red.
  • Lay your Face cards in a grid: 4x5 cards.
  • Shuffle the Mystery cards and each player secretly takes a card.
  • Keep your Mystery card secret during the game.

Face card grid: each player lays 4x5 Face cards in front of them. The Mystery card is kept hidden from the other player.

How to Play

Take turns to ask questions. The youngest player goes first.

  • On your turn, ask a question that can be answered with a "yes" or "no." For example: "Does your Mystery Person have a hat?"
  • If the answer is "yes", then you know you can get rid of all the people without hats. Look at the cards and turn over all the people WITHOUT hats.
  • If the answer is "no", then you can get rid of all the people with hats. Look at the cards and turn over all the people WITH hats.
  • Keep taking turns asking questions until someone thinks they can guess who is on the opposing player's Mystery card.

Guessing the Mystery Card

  • Make your guess on your turn instead of asking a question. You cannot ask a question and guess on the same turn.
  • If you guess wrong, you lose the game!
  • If you guess right, you win the game!

The Winner!

If you guess who is on the other player's Mystery Card before they guess who is on yours, you win!
