Components
- 1 x City Board
- 42 x Path tiles
- 4 x Scoring tiles
- 42 x Rider discs (7 per color)
- 6 x Score markers (1 per color)
- 24 x Bonus tokens (4 per player)
- 1 x Cloth Bag
Game Setup
1. Prepare the Boards
Place the City Board in the middle of the table. There are 2 sides, one for 2-3 players, and one for 4-6 players.
2. Prepare Scoring Tiles
Shuffle the 4 Scoring tiles and randomly place one Scoring tile on each of the marked spots on the Score Track: "10", "20", "30", and "40".
3. Player Setup
Each player chooses a color and takes:
- 1 Score marker, and place it on the "0" space of the Score Track.
- A set of 4 Bonus tokens, and place them face-up in front of you.
- All Rider discs of their color.
4. Adjust for Player Count
Randomly return unused components to the box based on the number of players:
- 2 Players: Use 24 Path tiles. (Return 18).
- 3 Players: Use 33 Path tiles. (Return 9).
- 4 Players: Use 36 Path tiles. (Return 6).
- 5 Players: Use 40 Path tiles. (Return 2). All players return their Central station Rider disc to the box, so that everyone has 6 discs.
- 6 Players: Use all 42 Path tiles. All players return their Central station Rider disc, and another different location to the box, so that everyone has 5 discs. Each player should return a disc showing a different location.
Setup Image for 4 players: 36 tiles in the bag, 7 discs per player.
5. Place Rider Discs
All players shuffle their Rider discs face down. The player who most recently used public transport goes first.
- Starting with the first player and going clockwise, take turns revealing one random Rider disc and place it face-up into the next available slot along the city border.
- 2-3 Players: Begin filling slots starting from the left corner marked with "S" and proceed clockwise.
- 4 Players: Begin filling slots starting from the left corner marked with "S1" and proceed clockwise.
- 5-6 Players: Fill the 6 corner slots marked S1 to S6 first. Once those are full, fill the remaining border slots clockwise from S1.
- Important: Skip any border slot marked with a number higher than the current player count (e.g., in a 4-player game, skip slots marked "5+").
- No Doubles: Check all double slots to ensure the 2 discs they hold show different locations. If two discs in the same slot show the same location, swap the second disc with the next available disc of the same color.
6. Draw Path Tile
Place the required number of Path tiles (from step 4) into the Cloth Bag. Each player draws one starting Path tile from the bag. Tiles in your hand are public information.
7. You may now start Playing!
Game Objective
Connect your Riders to their specific destinations before the bag of tiles runs out. You will score points for every successful Walking, Biking, Bus, or Tram connection you make. Try to send as many Riders as you can to avoid leaving them stranded. The player with the most Victory Points at the end of the game wins.
Turn Overview
The game is played in turns, starting with the First Player and proceeding clockwise. The game ends when the Cloth Bag is empty, then each player places their last tile.
On your turn, perform the following 3 steps in order:
- Place a Path Tile
- Send Riders
- Draw a New Tile
1. Place a Path Tile
Place your Path tile on any empty hex on the city grid.
- Orientation: You may freely rotate the tile and may use either side. Each side of the tile shows two different modes of transport, with all 4 modes on each tile. (e.g., Bike/Walk + Tram/Bus).
- Restriction: You may only place a tile adjacent to a border slot if it holds your own Rider or it is empty. You cannot place a tile next to an opponent's Rider.
2. Send Riders (Optional)
Check if any of your Rider discs on the board are connected to a matching destination. You may choose to send any number of them.
- Valid Connection: A connection must have a continuous line of the same transport type from starting location (a border slot with your Rider) to the matching destination. The connection cannot pass the same place twice. Refer to Sending Example (1) & (2)
- Border Slots: A connection may pass through border slots and re-enter the city. Refer to Example (2)
- Multiple Routes: If there are multiple valid connections, you may choose the one that scores the most points. Refer to Example (1)
Sending the Rider
1. Count
Count the number of tiles in the route. If a path is longer than 8 tiles, treat it as 8.
2. Bonus Token (Optional)
You may flip one of your Bonus tokens face-down to apply its effect (see Bonus Tokens below).
3. Score
Consult the Scoring Charts on the city board. Find the matching transport type used and the row for the number of tiles. Advance your Score marker that many spaces on the Score Track.
Important: If your Score marker reaches or passes a Scoring tile on the Score Track, immediately add that new Scoring tile into the bag.
4. Move Disc
Move the Rider disc from the city to the Transport Track matching the transportation method used on the right side of the board (e.g. move a Rider disc that traveled on a bike lane to the Bike Track). Place it on the first empty space from the top.
Important: In games with fewer players, ignore spaces marked with higher player counts (e.g., in a 4-player game, skip slots marked "5+").
Bonus Tokens
You may use one token per Rider sent. Flip it face-down after use. (one use per game)
- x2 (Bus): Double your VP for this journey if the route passes through a Bus Stop symbol.
- x2 (Tram): Double your VP for this journey if the route passes through a Tram Station symbol.
- x3 (Walk): Triple your VP for this journey if the route passes through a Park symbol.
- +5 (Bike): Gain +5 VP for this journey if the route passes through a Location symbol that is different from the destination.
Important: The Central station spot features all four symbols (Stop, Station, Park, and Location). It can be used to fulfill the requirements for any Bonus token.
Sending Example (1)
Billy (Brown) places a tile with a Bike Lane and a Walking Path next to their Central station Rider. This creates two valid connections:
- A 4-tile Bike Lane (Worth: 6 VP)
- A 3-tile Walking Path (Worth: 3 VP)
Although the Bike Lane offers more base points, the Walking Path passes through a Park symbol. The player chooses the Walking Path and flips their Walk Bonus token (x3 multiplier) to score a total of 9 VP (3 VP x 3).
Sending Example (2)
Violet (Purple) places a tile with a Bus Route and a Tram Track next to their amusement park Rider. She decides to take the long way around and go through a border slot. Note that she cannot pass the Park again from the Bus Stop.
Finally, she sends her Rider along a 4-tile Tram Track and scores 4 VP. She cannot use the bonus tile since this connection does not pass through a Tram station.
3. Draw a New Tile
Draw one tile from the Cloth Bag. If there are no more tiles to draw, the game end is triggered.
- If it is a Path tile: Add it to your hand. Your turn ends and the next player takes a turn.
- If it is a Scoring tile: IMMEDIATELY resolve a Scoring Phase (see below).
Scoring Phase
When a Scoring tile is drawn, pause the game.
1. Identify Track
Look at the Transport Track matching the drawn tile.
2. Determine Value
Identify the visible number printed on the highest empty space of that track.
3. Adjust Score
All players with at least one disc on that track score that number of points for each disc they have on this track.
4. Clean Up
After scoring, remove the Scoring tile from the game.
5. Resume Play
The interrupted player draws a new tile from the bag.
6. Score Again
If another Scoring tile is drawn, resolve it immediately! Repeat this process until a Path tile is drawn.
Important: If any player's Score Marker reaches or passes a Scoring tile on the Score Track during this phase, immediately add that tile into the bag.
Scoring Example
The "Bike" scoring tile is drawn. There are 4 discs already on the Bike Track. The highest empty space shows a "6".
- Rose (Pink) has 2 discs there. She scores 12 VP (2 discs x 6 points).
- Billy (Brown) has 1 disc there. He scores 6 VP (1 disc x 6 points).
- Violet (Purple) has 1 disc there. She scores 6 VP (1 disc x 6 points).
Game End & Final Scoring
The game end is triggered when the Cloth Bag is empty. Then, players get to play the last tile in their hands, so everyone would take an equal number of turns.
1. Final Placement
Continue playing until every player has placed their last Path tile. Skip the "Draw" step.
2. Last Call for Riders
After the final tile is placed, any remaining Rider discs that are connected to valid destinations are sent to their Transport Tracks.
Important: You score 0 VP for sending them during this step, but these discs will avoid the penalty below.
3. Traffic Jam Penalty
Any Rider discs still left on the border slot are moved to the Cars Track. The order of placement does not matter. Fill the discs from the top of the track.
4. Final Scoring
Score negative points for discs on the Cars Track as indicated on the Transport Track. The more cars, the higher the penalty per car!
- Identify Track: Identify the visible number printed on the highest empty space of the Cars Track.
- Determine Penalty: All players with at least one disc on the Cars Track lose that number of points for each disc they have on this track. All players adjust their scores on the track.
- Determine the winner. The player with the most Victory Points wins! In case of a tie, the tied player with the fewest discs on the Cars Track wins. If they are still tied, they share a joint victory.
Final Scoring Example
The game ends and there are 6 discs on the Car Track. The highest empty space shows a "-6".
- Rose (Pink) has 2 discs there. She deducts 12 VP (2 discs x -6 points).
- Billy (Brown) has 1 disc there. He deducts 6 VP (1 disc x -6 points).
- Violet (Purple) has 3 discs there. She deducts 18 VP (3 discs x -6 points).
Scoring Charts (City Board)
The rulebook refers to the Scoring Charts printed on the city board; the values below are transcribed from the board as shown in the rulebook's setup illustration (VP for a route of the given number of tiles; routes longer than 8 tiles count as 8).
