Setup
- Place the game board in the middle of the table.
- Each player grabs the tiles according to the colour of the camp on their side of the board: Liberal or Conservative.
- Each player also places their Chain of command next to the board. Choose your 3 starting units and assign them one space on your Chain of command, placing them by their Deploy side. Then, create your own supply with the remaining units.
- Finally, choose the starting player. Each player places their 3 Unit markers on their deployment spaces as they want.
The starting player CANNOT occupy the most forward space during the setup.

Game Sequence
Players take turns playing. Each turn is divided in two phases:
- Give an order to one of your units. The orders are:
- Move!: choose a unit and move its marker to one space available by its movement reference. You may go through spaces with other units on them, but you cannot end your movement on an occupied one.
- Charge!: choose a unit and move its marker to one space available by its attack reference, and occupied by an enemy unit. Your opponent must move that Unit marker to one of their empty deployment spaces. They also must discard the defeated Unit tile and assign another unit from their supply to that marker.
- Fire!: choose a unit and point at an enemy marker within one space available by its ranged attack reference. Your opponent must move that Unit marker to one of their empty deployment spaces. They also must discard the defeated Unit tile and assign another unit from their supply to that marker.
- At ease!: choose a unit and do nothing.
- Gohut!: choose a unit that has the Gohut camp within reach of one space available by its attack or ranged attack. Place a Gohut skull token in your Capturing area. Move the played Unit marker to one of your empty deployment spaces. Also, discard the Unit tile and assign another unit from your supply to that marker.
- If the unit you gave an order is still in your Chain of command, flip its Unit tile over to show its other side.
Any discarded unit cannot be reassigned during this game.
End of the Game
The game ends when a player gets 3 Gohut skull tokens or has 6 discarded units.
The player with the most skull tokens wins. In case of a tie, the player with the least discarded units wins.
