  • 80x Translucent Holo-board Tags
  • 12x Sentry Guns

Component Overview

The new plastic Buildings and Building Caps are designed to replace the original cardboard Buildings. Sticker Sheets have been provided for you to customize each of the new Buildings.

Also included are 4 Corporation Toppers and 3 Building Spires. These have been designed to fit into the new Building Caps. Use them to decorate the Battlefield or create your own gameplay rules around their functionality.

The new Translucent Holo-board Tags have been provided to replace the original ones.

Lastly, 3 Sentry Guns in each Faction's color are also included. How these affect gameplay will be explained below.

Sentry Guns

Setup

Each player takes all 3 Sentry Guns and 1 Sentry Gun Card, matching their chosen Faction. Sentry Guns can be deployed during each Tagging Phase. Sentry Guns fire using a Weapon Card, much like how a Support Unit fires. Each player should place their Sentry Gun Card face up, alongside their Support Unit Cards.

Deploying Sentry Guns

On their turn in the Tagging Phase, players now have a new choice to make. When tagging a Building, players may choose to either:

  1. Place a Holo-board and gain 1 Sponsor Card, or
  2. Deploy a Sentry Gun and do not gain a Sponsor Card.

When tagging a single Building more than once in the same Tagging Phase, players only gain a Sponsor Card if all their tags were Holo-boards. For example, if they deployed 1 Sentry Gun and placed 1 Holo-board on a single Building, they would not gain a Sponsor Card.

Jae Pak's Pilot Ability: In the previous example, Jae would still gain 1 Sponsor Card. When tagging 1 Building multiple times, he can either:

  1. Place no Sentry Guns and gain 2 Sponsor Cards.
  2. Place 1 or more Sentry Guns and 1 or more Holo-boards and gain 1 Sponsor Card.
  3. Place no Holo-boards, gaining no Sponsor Cards.

Removing Sentry Guns

Once deployed, there are only 2 ways to remove a Sentry Gun:

  1. The Sentry Gun's Building is Demolished.
  2. The Sentry Gun is Over-Tagged.

In both instances, the Sentry Gun is returned to its Faction and can be redeployed again when Tagging. Sentry Guns can never be placed on Demolished Buildings.

Players still place a Holo-board Tag on the Demolished Building to show they control it. If a player has all 3 Sentry Guns deployed, they cannot place any more Sentry Guns until 1 or more have been returned to their supply.

Over-Tagging Sentry Guns

This is done in the same way as Over-Tagging Holo-board Tags. Of course, the GKR unit has to survive the Sentry Gun's attack before having the chance to Over-Tag.

When Over-Tagging a Sentry Gun, the Tagging player has the same decision to make: Place a Holo-board and gain 1 Sponsor Card or deploy a Sentry Gun of their own.

Firing Sentry Guns

Sentry Guns are extremely fast and automatically hit everything within their range. However, all units caught within their firing arc still have a chance for an Armor Save.

The Sentry Gun cards are labelled with the following: Weapon Speed, Weapon Type, Name, Energy, Range, Damage and Card Ability. Each of the four Sentry Gun cards (one per Faction) is named "Sentry Guns" and shows a different Weapon Speed: 996, 974, 987 and 900. Each shows Energy 0, Range 1-2 and Damage 1, and has the following Card Ability:

Play during Combat Phase. All deployed Sentry Guns automatically hit all enemy units within their Range without rolling to attack. All targeted units roll an Armor Save.

Much like a Heavy Hitter, Sentry Guns have a 180 degree firing arc. They cannot fire through Buildings.
