  • 1 hourglass
  • 2 drawing boards
  • 1 drawing board with a spinning bottle
  • 2 dry-erase markers
  • 1 sponge
  • 1 notepad

Variant I: Game for 2–4 Couples

Setup

  • Lay the board out on a hard surface.
  • Shuffle the cards and place them in stacks beside the board.
  • Connect the drawing board to the bottle with the clip.
  • Each couple chooses pawns in one colour and receives the ABC cards assigned to them.
  • Place the drawing boards, markers and hourglass in plain sight.

Goal

The goal of the game is to collect as many Cupid tokens as possible.

Gameplay

Note: In this variant, the card with the task is always read by the player who makes the move in the given turn. Competitions are carried out in couples.

  • Players always move exactly one field forward. The game is started by the woman from the couple with the shortest time together (staż). She chooses one of the two paths to the goal and moves her pawn forward along it. She draws the card assigned to that field and carries out the task. If the couple completes the task correctly, they receive 1 Cupid token.
  • The next move belongs to the woman of the next couple. After all the women have made their moves and completed their tasks, the men move their pawns.

Field Descriptions

Znamy się (We Know Each Other) – the player reads the card aloud. It is a test of knowledge of one's partner: a. a question for him or for her, b. a question with answers A, B, C, c. a compatibility test (the players choose 1 word).

Players write their answers on the drawing boards. A couple that gives matching answers receives 1 Cupid token.

Wiem wszystko (I Know Everything) – the player reads the card aloud, and the other players answer the question in couples, using the ABC cards. The player who reads the question does not take part in the turn, so his or her partner must manage alone. Couples that answer correctly receive 1 Cupid token.

Między słowami (Between the Words) – the player's task is to convey the term on the card to their partner using words. Four words are assigned to each term, and they may not be used while describing it. A couple receives 1 Cupid token when the correct answer is given within the time measured by the hourglass.

[Translator's placement: the line about the hourglass timing is printed at the top of page 3, separated from this entry by a page break. It is placed here because its position and the hourglass icon fit the Między słowami entry; the printed layout does not name the field.]

Butelka (Bottle) – when a player lands on the bottle field, they spin the bottle, then draw a card from the deck that the bottle points to.

Kalambury (Charades) – the charades deck contains phrases to draw on the drawing boards (films, love positions, sayings and proverbs). When one player draws, the partner must guess the phrase. A couple receives 1 Cupid token when the correct answer is given within the time measured by the hourglass.

Ending the Game

When all the players' pawns are on the last fields of their paths, next to the central field, the Cupid tokens are counted. The couple with the most Cupid tokens moves onto the central field and thereby wins the game.

Variant II: Game for 1 Couple

Setup

  • Lay the board out on a hard surface.
  • Shuffle the cards and place them in stacks on the board.
  • Each player receives a drawing board and a marker, then chooses a pawn to move in the game.

Gameplay

Players always move exactly one field forward and carry out the tasks assigned to the fields.

Note: In this variant, the card with the task is always read by the player who does not make a move in that turn.

  • The card actions are the same as in Variant I.
  • For a correct answer in a given competition, a player receives 2 Cupid tokens as a reward.
  • In the case of Znamy się, Kalambury and Między słowami, the player who helped the other gain 2 Cupid tokens receives 1 Cupid token as a reward for themselves.

Ending the Game

When the players reach the last fields of their paths, before the field showing a heart pierced by an arrow, the Cupid tokens are counted. The player who collected more wins.

Players have victory tokens for cleaning, cooking, ironing and sex. Together they arrange them around the drawing board with the bottle, so that each one sits in a corner of it. Then the player who won the game draws their prize using the bottle.

The couple may formalize their win. A pad of vouchers is used for this.

[Translator's note: the components list gives 6 victory tokens (version for a couple), but the rules name four (cleaning, cooking, ironing, sex), and the illustration shows four. The text is transcribed as printed.]
