Instructions

Add the Guardhouse village tile to the existing village tiles. Remove one of 10 village tiles at random. Then build the village as stated in the rules.

Note: If the Buddhist Temple village tile is removed, remove the Uncatchable incarnation from play before inserting the incarnations into the ghost deck.

Guard Tower

The view the guards have from their tower allows them to warn the Taoists of the impending danger. Take the first four ghosts from the deck, look at them, and put them back on top of the deck in whatever order you like. Moreover, receive one Tao token of your choice.

Ghosts Deck

Add the four new ghosts to the deck. Shuffle the deck, and then remove four random ghosts and proceed to build the deck as appropriate for the level of your game. If you are very brave, you can leave the 4 extra ghosts in the deck (+4 points in the event of a victory).

The four new ghosts are:

  • Brother Vo Ost
  • Sister Ko
  • Brother Ko Mon
  • Brother Pi Ro

Note: the ghost names above are read from the card art on the rules sheet, which is small and low resolution.

Terror

Until this ghost is defeated, place a haunting figure (a) on the tile in front of the ghost. The tile is not turned face-down to its haunted side, but its power is useless because the villagers are frightened. It is impossible to nullify the haunting of a terrorized tile.

General Terror

Until this ghost is defeated, place a haunting figure (a) on the three tiles facing the location of this ghost. The tiles are not turned face-down to their haunted side, but their powers are useless because the villagers are panicking. It is impossible to nullify the haunting of a terrorized tile.

New Incarnation of Wu-Feng

The expansion adds one new incarnation of Wu-Feng: Father Bo Za.

Note: the rules sheet shows only the card art for Father Bo Za. Its abilities are printed on the card and are not reproduced on the sheet.

Erratum

The following corrections apply to the English rules of the base game.

On page 8, the Enfeeblement Mantra should read:

A ghost under the effect of the enfeeblement mantra has its resistance during an exorcism reduced BY 1 (a ghost with a resistance of 3 has a resistance of 2), regardless of which Taoist is performing the exorcism.

On the Village Tiles Play Aid for the Circle of Prayer, it should read:

All the ghosts of the color of the Tao token on this tile have their resistance reduced BY 1 during exorcism (a ghost with a resistance of 3 has a resistance of 2).
