Setup

Set aside all bonus tiles from the base game. You use them only if you are instructed to do so.

Shuffle all the new bonus tiles and place them as a face-down stack. Reveal the top 2 bonus tiles and place them face up beside the stack.

Whenever you complete a panorama, take 1 face-up bonus tile. Then reveal 1 new tile from the stack.

Using the Bonus Tiles

The new bonus tiles are used in different ways and at different times (see the timing note next to each tile's name).

At game end, reveal your bonus tiles and check whether you receive additional favor.

New Bonus Tiles

Each tile is listed with its name and its timing, followed by its effect.

Foresight / At the start of your turn

Reveal 3 additional cards from the draw deck, so that 6 cards lie face up in the open display with their building side up. At the end of your turn, you must take 3 cards from the display. (You may not draw face-down from the deck!)

After you have used Foresight, flip it over and leave it face down in front of you. At game end, you receive 2 additional favor for it.

Sabotage / During your turn

Place the Sabotage on a building card of another player. No resources may be placed on this card.

Remove the Sabotage at the start of your next turn, flip it over, and leave it face down in front of you.

Blessing / During your turn

In this turn, you may play and/or discard up to 4 hand cards in order to perform actions. At the end of your turn, draw cards until you have 5 cards in hand again.

After you have used Blessing, flip it over and leave it face down in front of you.

Helping Hand / During your turn

Discard 1 hand card. Turn over and rearrange the floors of the pagoda as you wish. Then take all resources from your pagoda side, either from top to bottom or from bottom to top, until your storage is full or you have taken all resources from this side.

After you have used Helping Hand, flip it over and leave it face down in front of you.

Gift / Immediately

Choose 1 option:

  1. Take 2 storage bonus tiles from the base game and attach them to your storage. Then flip the Gift over and leave it face down in front of you.

  2. Place the Gift face down in front of you. At game end, you receive 2 additional favor for it.

Cohesion / Immediately

Place Cohesion face up in front of you. At game end, you receive favor for your collected bonus tiles (including this one):

  • 1 bonus tile: 1 favor
  • 2 bonus tiles: 3 favor
  • 3 or more bonus tiles: 5 favor

Abundance / Immediately

Discard 1 hand card. Count the total number of spaces your storage has. Take that many resources and place them on your building cards and/or in your storage. Excess resources return to the supply.

Then flip Abundance over and leave it face down in front of you. At game end, you receive 1 additional favor for it.

Goodness / Immediately

Place Goodness face up in front of you. From now on, you may have two-part and three-part panoramas in your garden twice.

Offering / Immediately

Move one of your favor markers back 1 space and another of your favor markers forward 2 spaces.

Then flip Offering over and leave it face down in front of you.

Recovery / Immediately

Choose 1 option:

  1. Place one of your favor markers that was removed from the favor track back on space "3" of its track. Then flip Recovery over and leave it face down in front of you.

  2. Place Recovery face down in front of you. At game end, you receive 2 additional favor for it.

Component Notes

The artwork on each tile shows a pictogram (for example an eye with "+2", a crossed-out symbol, a stack of cards, a pagoda with a circular arrow, cards with "+2", "1/3/5", "+1" with resources, "×2 ×2", a cube between arrows, or a cube with "+2"). The timing and effect text printed on each tile is complete and is the authoritative description above.
