Card Layout
The printed card shows two cards, one above the other:
- Roseate Spoonbill (top half): cost 1 (top-left box). Tree-colour emblem in the top-right corner: red (maple leaf).
- American Alligator (bottom half): cost 3 (top-left box). Tree-colour emblem in the top-right corner: orange (oak leaf).
Each half carries its own habitat icon and animal-type icon on the left, below the cost box.
Roseate Spoonbill
Top half of the card. Cost 1.
Bonus (red binoculars arrow): If you pay for the Roseate Spoonbill with cards that match its tree colour (the red tree symbol), you may place a Bird card from your hand into your forest at no cost, without using that card's effect and bonus. The arrow shows a stack of cards with a bird on top, followed by a curved arrow.
The printed bonus icon does not spell out "from your hand". This wording follows the base game's identical bonus icon (see the Forest Shuffle appendix, "Bonus: Place a Bird card from your hand into your forest at no cost, without using the effect and bonus of that card.") and matches the BGG description ("Play a bird for no cost").
Points: 1 point for each Bird icon in your forest. The card shows this as a scoring line of 1 acorn (point) multiplied by a bird icon.
American Alligator
Bottom half of the card. Cost 3.
Effect: Draw 1 card. The printed half shows only a boxed 1 at the bottom left, beside the scoring line, and no separate card-draw icon. The "Draw 1 card" wording is taken from the BGG item description for this promo.
Points: 1 point for each of the following icons in your forest: Pawed Animal (paw), Amphibian (the lizard-like figure, the same as the American Alligator's own animal-type icon), Bird, Cloven-hoofed Animal (hoof prints), and Boot (yellow boot). The card shows this as a scoring line of 1 acorn (point) multiplied by the five icons, separated by commas, which read as "or".
Card Notes
- The card number "P027" in the top-right corner and the small number at the right of each name bar are printed reference marks; they have no rules effect and are not transcribed.
- The illustrator credits printed on each half are attribution and are not transcribed.
- The card back is a plain seedling card back (a green sapling on a green background) with a green tree-type icon at the bottom left. It has no rules text.
- Not settled by the printed card: the card does not say whether the Roseate Spoonbill or the American Alligator counts its own icon in the "1 point per icon" scoring. The base rulebook's wording for birds and similar cards ("including the Goshawk") is not printed on this card, so no ruling is added here.
- The boxed 1 on the American Alligator half is transcribed as shown. No rule is inferred from it beyond the draw effect given in the BGG description.
