Card Layout
The printed card shows two cards, one above the other:
- Australian Magpie (top half): cost 1 (top-left box). Bird type icon (blue square, bottom-left). Tree-colour emblem in the top-right corner: blue.
- Short-Beaked Echidna (bottom half): cost 1 (top-left box). Pawed animal type icon (brown paw print, bottom-left). Tree-colour emblem in the top-right corner: yellow.
Australian Magpie
Top half of the card. Cost 1.
Effect (white card icon with the number 1, bottom-left of the lower bar): Draw one card.
The printed effect is an icon only: a card-shaped white symbol with the number 1. It is read as "draw one card", matching the BGG item description for this promo ("draw one card").
Points: 7 acorns, if your forest has at most 6 trees. The printed scoring line reads "7 acorns if your forest has at most 6 trees," with no multiplier.
Short-Beaked Echidna
Bottom half of the card. Cost 1.
Bonus (yellow arrow with the binoculars symbol, bottom-left, with the circular arrow in the centre): If you pay for the Short-Beaked Echidna with cards that match its tree colour (the yellow emblem), you may take another turn after you complete this one, again choosing between actions A (Drawing) and B (Playing).
The printed bonus icon does not spell out the words. The condition ("if you pay with matching cards") is the base game's rule for any coloured arrow with the binoculars symbol (see the Forest Shuffle rulebook, "Bonus"). The circular arrow is the base game's symbol for taking another turn, with the wording from the Forest Shuffle appendix ("Take another turn after you complete this one, again choosing between actions A (Drawing) and B (Playing)."). The BGG item description for this promo reads "one more action" for this card, which is consistent with this reading.
Points: 5 acorns. The printed scoring line is a flat 5 acorns with no multiplier and no condition.
Card Notes
- The card code "P017" at the top right of the upper half is a printed reference mark; it has no rules effect and is not transcribed as a rule.
