Card Layout

The card is a split card with two halves, the Gibbon on top and the Pitta on the bottom. Each half has the following printed elements:

  • Gibbon (top half): cost 2 (top-left box), a paw-print animal icon, a name band, a tree-colour emblem in the top-right, the card code P026, and an effect panel with a binoculars icon and a scoring panel.
  • Pitta (bottom half): cost 1 (top-left box), a bird icon, a name band, a habitat emblem in the top-right, and a scoring line along the bottom.

Gibbon

Animal. Cost 2.

Bonus: The Gibbon's effect panel shows the binoculars symbol, followed by a tree card icon and an arrow pointing to a stack of cards. This is the bonus printed on a card of this kind in the base game: it is activated if you pay for the card with matching cards, as described in the base Forest Shuffle rules.

Points: Scores 5 points, or 15 points if there are at least 3 different plants in your forest. The printed text reads (translated from Thai):

  • 5 acorns
  • or
  • 15 acorns, if there are plants with at least 3 different names in your forest.

Pitta

Bird. Cost 1.

Points: The printed scoring line reads (translated from Thai): 1 acorn, for each bug (insect) symbol and each amphibian symbol in your forest. The printed line shows the acorn, a multiplication sign, a bug icon, a comma, and a lizard/amphibian icon. The grey icon is a lizard-like figure; the BGG description for this promo calls it an amphibian symbol.

Scoring summary: 1 point per amphibian and insect symbol.

Card Notes

  • The Thai text on the card carries no rules beyond what is transcribed above. The Thai names of the two creatures are not transcribed; they are used only to identify each half of the card.
  • The illustration credits along the card edges (University of Amsterdam and Allen & Ginter) and the printed code P026 carry no rules and are not transcribed.
