Card Layout
The printed card shows two cards side by side:
- Chinese Hare (left half): cost 0 (top-left box). Orange oak-leaf emblem in the top-right corner.
- Red Panda (right half): cost 1 (top-left box). Green leaf emblem in the top-right corner.
Each half carries a paw icon (the Pawed animal icon) on its name band. The top-right emblem is the card's tree colour, used by the base rules for bonuses; neither half of this card has a bonus.
Chinese Hare
Left half. Cost 0. Pawed animal (paw icon).
Effect: Any number of Chinese Hares may share this spot (the printed wording is "this spot"; the base rules call a spot a card slot).
Points: 1 point (acorn) for each hare in your forest. The printed scoring line reads 1 acorn with the text "for each hare".
Red Panda
Right half. Cost 1. Pawed animal (paw icon).
Effect: Shuffle the discard pile, then put 10 cards on top of the draw pile.
Points: 2 points (acorns). The printed scoring line shows 2 acorns with no multiplier.
Card Notes
- The Chinese Hare's effect is printed as a standing statement ("any number may share this spot"). It carries no "on a later turn" wording, unlike the base European Hare. It is transcribed exactly as printed and not converted into a permanent or instant effect.
- The printed Chinese for the hare's scoring line uses the generic word for hare or rabbit, not "Chinese Hare". The card does not say whether the count covers only Chinese Hares or every hare in the forest. The English "for each hare" is taken from the printed wording and the BGG item description, which both say "per Hare".
- The Red Panda's effect does not name the 10 cards by source. It is read as shuffling the discard pile and then placing 10 cards from it on top of the draw pile; the BGG item description says only "put 10 cards on top of the draw pile", so the source of the 10 cards is the transcriber's reading. The card does not say what happens if the discard pile holds fewer than 10 cards.
- The small print on the card (the artwork credits along the hare and panda artwork, and the small printed numbers in the corners) carries no rules and is not transcribed.
