Components

  • 106 question cards
  • 114 player cards, distributed as follows:
    • 19 yellow cards
    • 19 purple cards
    • 19 pink cards
    • 19 blue cards
    • 19 green cards
    • 19 orange cards
  • 1 starting player token

Setup

  1. Each player chooses a colour, takes the corresponding pile of player cards and shuffles it, forming a face-down pile placed in front of them.
  2. Each player then draws 4 cards from the pile into their hand, without showing them to their opponents.
  3. Shuffle the question cards and set aside 6 of them. The remaining ones will not be used in the game. Be careful not to reveal the back (with the answers).
  4. The youngest player takes the starting player token. They will begin the round.

Round

In each round, place one question card inside the hexagonal board, front face up.

Each question card has a category and 5 items pointing to the sides of the hexagon. The goal of the game is to use your cards to get the ordering of the items right.

(Card anatomy: the front shows the category and the items; the back shows the answers.)

Whoever has the starting player token begins. On your turn, choose one of your 4 cards and place it on a side of the hexagon associated with an item. Play proceeds clockwise. All players must do the same. You may place cards on sides that are already occupied, including on top of your own cards, leaving the tops of the previous cards visible. There is no limit to the number of cards on each side.

Do not draw a new card after playing.

The round continues until each player has only one card left in hand.

Example of a Round

  1. Green thinks that Harp is the 5th instrument with the most strings.
  2. Purple thinks that Mandolin is the 2nd or 3rd instrument with the most strings.
  3. Yellow thinks that Guitar (Violão) is the 1st instrument with the most strings.
  4. Green thinks that Guitar (Violão) is the 3rd or 4th instrument with the most strings and places their card on top of Yellow's.
  5. The round continues until each player has placed 3 cards from their hand.

Round Resolution

When the round ends, turn the question card over to its back. Now check the sides of the hexagon one at a time, starting, on each side, with the card that was placed last (on top of the previous ones), and continuing down to the first.

If the number of the card (or one of the numbers) equals the answer, the card is correct. Discard it from the game and examine the next card.

If the number of the card is different from the answer, the owner of the card takes not only their card, but all the previous cards on the same side of the hexagon, even if the others are also wrong. Make a face-up pile with the cards you take. This will be your score.

Note that each card can have between 1 and 5 bomb symbols. They represent negative points.

(The explanation of the special cards is found on page 8; see Special Cards below.)

Before starting the new round, refresh your hand: draw 3 more player cards (be careful not to draw from the pile that will be your score). You must have 4 cards in hand again. Finally, pass the starting player token to the next player clockwise. They will begin the next round.

Example of Resolution

  • Piano: Purple played the card indicating that the previous one is correct. 1st/2nd/3rd Yellow is underneath the purple card and is correct, so both are discarded and nobody receives bombs.
  • Harp: 2nd/3rd Purple is correct, the card is discarded. 5th Green is wrong, so the green player takes their card and receives a total of 1 bomb.
  • Guitar (Violão): 3rd/4th Green is correct. The Green card is discarded. 1st Yellow is wrong, so the Yellow player takes their card and receives a total of 1 bomb.
  • Mandolin: 4th Yellow is wrong, so the Yellow player takes their card and the card underneath it (2nd/3rd Purple). The Yellow player receives a total of 5 bombs.
  • Cavaquinho: 1st Green is wrong, so the green player takes their card. The green player receives a total of 2 bombs.

Special Cards

In each player deck there are 2 special cards. They work like the other cards, but can only be placed on sides that already have at least one card.

  • The previous card is correct: this card is considered correct if the previous one is also correct.
  • The previous card is wrong: this card is considered correct if the previous one is wrong.

End of the Game

After 6 rounds, the game ends. Count the number of bombs you took during the game. The player with the fewest bombs wins.

In case of a tie, the player with the fewest bombs on the card remaining in their hand wins. If the tie persists, all tied players win.
