Components
- 63 cards numbered as follows: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60.
- 17 special cards: Rainbow, U-turn, Finish.
- 1 die.
Aim
On your turn, roll the die and turn over as many cards as indicated on the die. Cards must be revealed in same or increasing number. If you succeed, gain revealed cards. The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
Setup
- Shuffle cards and stack in a pile.
- Draw 9 cards and lay them face down in a 3×3 square next to the deck.
- The youngest player decides who goes first. The first player takes the die.
On Your Turn
On your turn, roll the die and carry out the following actions according to its result.
Case 1: Cloud icon came up
If the cloud icon came up, you cannot fly. Your turn ends immediately. Instead, get the first card of the deck and add it to your score pile. Play moves to the player on your left.
Case 2: A number came up
If a number came up, flying starts. Reveal one of the 9 cards and check its number. Then reveal another card.
Numbers show your current flying height. To gain cards, you must turn over as many cards as the number indicated on the die. However, you must always reveal a card which has the same or a higher number than the previous revealed card. Memorize cards well to reveal them in the right order!
E.g. 1) A 3 came up on the die. You reveal a 20, then a 30. Your flying is successful if you reveal a 30 or a higher number next.
E.g. 2) A 3 came up on the die. You reveal a 20, a 30 then a 20 again. Your flying is a failure, because the last 20 you revealed is neither the same nor a higher number than the previous revealed 30 card.
If you succeed in turning over as many cards as indicated by the die, get all revealed cards. This is your score pile.
Be bold for more fun!
Once you fulfill the die's condition, you can decide not to get revealed cards. Instead, keep revealing more cards to try getting more of them. If you fail though, you cannot get any cards. Sounds risky? Maybe, but this choice might bring you closer to victory than you would expect…!
E.g. A 3 came up on the die. You reveal a 10, a 20 then another 20. You could stop here and get these 3 cards, but decide to reveal 1 more card. Luckily it is a 30. You can again decide either to stop here and get cards, or keep going on.
Important: Your turn ends after you either failed or succeeded your flying. You must keep on turning over cards until your failure is clear. In the case you successfully reveal all 9 cards during your turn, get them all and your turn ends automatically.
Ending Your Turn
Succeeded in flying: draw cards from the deck to fill the 3×3 square empty spots.
Failed in flying: turn over the cards face-down. Make sure not to mix them up and to turn them over on the exact same spot as they were before.
Then play moves to the player on your left.
Special Cards
Rainbow
This card does not have any number but counts as 1 card to complete the number indicated on the die.
E.g. I rolled the die and 3 came up. The first card I reveal is a Rainbow, the next one is 60, and the next one is a Rainbow again. I succeeded in revealing 3 cards and can therefore get all revealed cards.
Finish
When this card is revealed your turn ends immediately. Regardless of whether you fulfilled the die's condition or not, take the Finish card and all revealed cards. You cannot try to reveal more cards. As your flying is considered successful, "Character bonus" rule (see next page) applies in this case as well.
U-turn
The moment this card is revealed, you must find cards with the same or a lower number. If you find another U-turn, then play goes back to the original rules, and so on. U-turn card also counts as 1 card to fulfill die's condition. However, you cannot end your turn on a U-turn card.
E.g. A 4 came up on the die. The first card I reveal is a U-turn so I must find cards in decreasing order. The next card is a 40, and the next one is a 30. The forth card is a U-turn as well. I successfully revealed 4 cards but the last one is a U-turn. I must at least reveal a 30, a higher card or another special card to succeed.
If your flying is successful, take the U-turn card(s) and all revealed cards.
Character Bonus
If you succeed in taking 3 cards or more with the same character on it, get 2 cards as bonus from the deck.
End of the Game
The game immediately ends when the deck runs out. Each player counts cards from their score pile. The player with the most cards wins the game.
Advanced Level
Feeling like the sky holds no secrets for you anymore? Enjoy a new flying experience with the following rule!
The basic level allows you during your turn to reveal a card of same or higher number than the previous one. In the advanced level, only one of these 2 options is allowed. You must either fly only in increasing order, or only at constant height. Therefore the first two cards you reveal are important. Other rules are the same as in the basic level.
E.g. 1) A 3 came up on the die. First card revealed is 20, the next is 30. In the basic level you can reveal another 30 or a higher card next. In the advanced level, your only option is to reveal a higher card.
E.g. 2) A 3 came up on the die. First card revealed is 20, the next is 20 as well. In the basic level you can reveal another 20 or a higher card next. In the advanced level, your only option is to reveal another 20.
E.g. 3) A 3 came up on the die. First card revealed is 20, the next is 40, then a U-turn. In the basic level you can reveal another 40 or a lower card next. In the advanced level, your only option is to reveal a lower card.
