Setup

  • Choose one colour for each player, and take all the plane cards in the colours selected (8 cards/player with values from 1 to 8). Put the remaining cards in the box.
  • Shuffle the selected cards and put this deck face down on the table so that it can be easily reached by all the players.
  • From this deck, each player draws 2 Visible cards (with the value facing themselves) and 3 Hidden cards (with the value facing the other players). Now everyone has 5 cards in their hand and knows the value of 2 of them. Each player should be able to see the colour of your Visible cards and the colour and value of your Hidden cards.

Gameplay

The last player to take a plane card takes the "Control Tower\Hangar" card and puts it in front of them with the "Control Tower" side facing up. Starting with the player with the "Control Tower" card, everyone must perform 2 of the following actions (you can perform the same action twice. You cannot pass):

  1. Ask for the sum of your Hidden cards. The other players must answer sincerely. You can only ask for the sum if you have two or more Hidden cards.

E.g.: Anna has 3 hidden cards in hand: 2 red, 8 blue, and 5 yellow. When she asks for the sum the other players must answer "15".

  2. Ask if one of your Hidden cards has a specific value. The other players must answer sincerely. If the answer is positive, turn the card making it Visible. From now on you have one more Visible card in hand. If the answer is negative, nothing happens.

E.g.: Is this card a 4? If the answer is "Yes" you can turn the card making it Visible. If the answer is "No", nothing happens.

  3. Swap one of your Visible cards with an opponent's Hidden card. You can swap one of your cards with one of your opponent's cards ONLY if you can see the value of both cards.

  4. Discard a card, placing it facedown, then draw a card from the deck. You can discard a Visible or Hidden card from your hand then draw a new card. The new card will replace the previous one exactly, taking the same place (Visible or Hidden). Discard your card face down.

Note that the colour of the card is also on the back, so that you know the colour of the card before drawing it, but not its value.

After making 2 actions the turn goes to the player on your left.

At the end of each complete round of actions, at the beginning of their turn, the player with the "Control Tower" card must discard the first card from the deck, turning it face up, making the value visible to everyone.

End of the Game

The game immediately ends if:

  • There are no cards in the draw deck; or
  • Two players have all their cards Visible (they have no cards facing their opponents).

The player who determines the end of the game takes the "Control Tower" card and places it in front of them on the "Hangar" side.

Now all the players show their cards, Visible and Hidden, placing them face up in front of themselves.

Among the cards still in play, for each colour turn the card with the highest value face up. Every player sums up the values of their cards and subtracts 2 points for each card turned face down (that card loses its value and is now worth -2 points).

Note: the English text says "face up" in the first sentence above but "face down" in the second and in the example; the example shows that the highest card of each colour is turned face down and scores -2.

The player with the highest score wins. In case of a tie the player furthest away from the "Hangar" card (clockwise) wins (the player with the "Hangar" card loses all ties).

E.g.: In a 3 player game, the cards still in play are: 5, 6, 3, 7 Red \ 6, 3, 4, 5, 2 Yellow \ 5, 2, 6, 8, 7, 4 Green. Turn face down the 7 Red, 6 Yellow and 8 Green. They score -2 points each.

2 Player Variant

In a two-player game select 3 colours during setup. The other rules are the same.
