9 Cards
Introductory Version
- Randomly place all 9 cards in a row, with the same side up.
- On each turn, you swap two cards. Add the numbers of the swapped cards; if the summation exceeds 9, add the single digit and the ten's digit of the summation.
- One of your swapped cards on each turn must be of the final number you obtained in the previous turn, as instructed in Step 2 (Exception: On the first turn, you can swap any two cards.)
- Repeat Steps 2 and 3. When you make the cards become a strictly ascending sequence (1→9 from right to left), you win!
Standard Version
The rules are the same as the introductory version except the following differences…
- In Step 1, do NOT make the cards facing the same side up. Randomly determine the side of each card instead.
- In Step 2, when you swap two cards, you also flip both cards to the other sides.
- In addition to making the cards become a strictly ascending sequence, you also have to make all cards facing the same side up to win the game.
