Game Contents

• 290 TOPIC Cards
• 10 RANK Cards [2 sets, numbered 1-5]
• Score Pads

Setup

• Shuffle the TOPIC Cards.
• Grab a Score Pad and a pen or pencil.
• Place a set of five numbered RANK Cards on the table within easy reach of the Players.
• The oldest Player is the first RANKER; give them the other set of five numbered RANK Cards.

Gameplay

Deal 5 TOPIC Cards face-up on the table, reading them out loud as they are dealt.

NOTE: If the RANKER doesn't know what one or more of the TOPIC Cards mean, discard and deal new TOPIC Cards to replace them!

The RANKER decides how they would rank each in priority order (1 = highest and 5 = lowest) by placing a RANK Card face-down next to each TOPIC Card.

NOTE: The RANKER should NOT place the RANK Cards down in an obvious order - the other players should NOT know how they are ranking the TOPICS. Additionally, the other players should NOT discuss their thoughts with others until AFTER the RANKER has locked in their answers.

Once locked in, the Players can openly discuss how they think the RANKER would rank the 5 TOPIC Cards. The Players then place each numbered RANK Card face-up next to each TOPIC Card in the order they believe the RANKER chose.

It is then the RANKER'S turn to unveil their true feelings on all 5 TOPICs by revealing each of their face-down RANK Cards.

• Each PERFECT MATCH (placing the same number down for a TOPIC Card) = 1 Point for the group.
• Each WRONG MATCH = 1 Point awarded to the game.

Note: A total of 5 points are awarded each round.

Play proceeds clockwise around the table - The RANKER will pass the 5 RANK Cards to the player on their left - that player is now the new RANKER for the next round!

Play continues until the group has played the number of rounds equal to the number of players (4 Players = 4 rounds).

Winning

If the group earns more points than the game, or it's a tie, the group wins! If the game has more points, the group loses.

• If the group WINS - congratulations, you know each other very well!
• If the group LOSES - play again and get to know each other better!

Variants

Head-to-Head Mode [aka 'Couples Challenge']

• Players play 3 rounds each as the RANKER, whoever has the most points after 6 rounds WINS!
• If there is a TIE, each player must play as the RANKER 1 more time (2 rounds) until there is a clear WINNER.
• There are no ties in Head-To-Head Mode, only victory!

Speed Mode

• For a faster game, only deal 3 TOPIC Cards (instead of 5) to the RANKER each round.
• Winning still works the same - as long as the game has fewer points than you, you are triumphant!
