Can I move Animals or send them back to the supply whenever I like?
The rulebook text answers this directly, and forum players agree.
Yes during the Work Phase: rearrange Animals at any time (even on an opponent's turn), as long as they all stay on your Home Board, and return any Animal to the supply without replacement. Doing so on the last turn never directly adds points; it only frees space.
