Does a building's "cut peat" effect use the Peat Cutter and my Spades?
The publisher answered this directly in a forum post, and it matches the rulebook.

No. A building that lets you cut peat takes exactly 1 Peat per triggered effect (for instance Smokehouse: 1 per Fish Trap) from your Moor tiles, and has nothing to do with the Peat Cutter action. Only the Peat Cutter space repeats cut-peat by your Spade count. Peat gained from other effects such as the Peat Boatman comes from the general supply.
