How are Animals scored, including ties and a type I have none of?

Rank the three types by how many you have: each Animal of your smallest group scores 2 VP, the middle group 1 VP and the largest group 0. Ties do not change the arithmetic (6 Sheep, 6 Cattle, 0 Horses = 6 VP; 5 of each = 15 VP), and a missing type just ranks as smallest and scores 0 while the others shift up. Nothing is ever subtracted. Animals paid for Plows and Vehicles do not count.
