Preparation

The objectives for the festival are different in each game. They must be established before the game begins. Until an objective is completed, its pieces are not available for use in the game.

• Plantation Objective: Randomly draw a plantation token (not a quarry) and place it in its position on the Festival board.
• Production Objective: Randomly draw 3 barrels of different goods and place them in their positions on the Festival board.
• Construction Objective: Randomly draw a building from the 3rd column of the building board. If a production building is drawn, it must not correspond with the plantation chosen for the first objective. Put it in its position on the Festival board.

During the Game

Each objective can only be completed one time, by the first person to complete it. They can be completed in any order.

• The Plantation Objective is completed when a person has 3 plantations of the indicated type. Receive 3 colonists as a prize.
• The Production Objective is completed when a person produces the 3 indicated goods at the same time in a turn. Immediately receive 3 doubloons as a prize.
• The Construction Objective is completed when a person builds the indicated building. Receive 3 VP as a prize.

When an objective is completed, its pieces on the Festival board are returned to the general pool of components for use in the game.
