Goal
School of Dragons has only one goal: to find out which of the students is the Master Trainer. For this, the player must sum (at least) 25 Training Points before the rivals, but beware, not always the other students will play by the book!
The Deck
School of Dragons uses a deck of 54 cards for 2-4 players (or 5-8 players using two decks). The cards are divided into three types:
- Training: these are the cards you put on the table generating Training Points.
- Colorful Dragons: these are Training Cards, but they have a cost (indicated by the lamp) to be put into play, paid by the player through the disposal of Training Cards already in play.
- Action: these cards (indentify by the stone edge) can be used at any time (even in the round of a rival player), and then immediately discarded.
If the deck reaches the end before the end of the game, reshuffle the discard pile.
Preparing the Game
Shuffle and distribute 5 cards to each player. The rest of the cards should be placed in a pile in the center of all players.
First Player
The youngest player is first to play. After completing his round, the passes to the player on the right (order of play).
Symbols
Except for the name of the cards, the game is language independent, so there are some symbols in the cards that players need to know:
- Training Points symbol: Indicates how many Training Points the player has (for example, 4 means 4 Training Points).
- Lose Training Points symbol: Indicates how many Training Points the player loses (for example, -2 means that the player must discard a Training Card in game of 2 or less). Can be sum to remove a Training Card with high value or even when a rival player is discarding Training Card to place a Colored Dragon into play.
- Draw symbol (hand reaching for cards): Means that the player must purchase the number of cards indicated from the central deck.
- Discard symbol (hand with a card): Means that the player must discard at least one card from your hand (for example -2 means that the player must discard two cards from his hand).
- Skip symbol (three figures): Means that the chosen player will not play in that round.
Game Round
The player can do three things in his round:
- Buy 2 cards (there is no limit of cards a player can hold in his hand, may even be without any card).
- Put until 3 Training Cards into play (including put two cards in play, discard them, and put a Colored Dragon into play).
- Uses (or not) Action Cards.
After completing his actions, the player passes to the next player.
Game End
The game ends when the first player reaches (at least) 25 Training Points, becoming the Master Trainer.
- Important: If all cards are distributed in players' hands (no remaining cards to be bought), the game ends and the player with the most Training Points wins.
