Welcome to Entropia
You and the other players are young stars trying to form your own planetary system. To achieve this you have to attract to you the planets you can find in the Entropia's deck. The first player with 4 planets on the board wins a round. Who first who wins 2 rounds wins the game: the others are annihilated. To achieve your goal and rule the galaxy you will also have to slow down your opponents, destroying their planets, making them discard cards, seizing their resources and so on. But an even better and more refined strategy is to convince the other players to act for you, in order to save precious planets for yourself. Entropia is a game about strategy and political ability.
Card's Anatomy
- Mass of the planet: it can be 1, 2 or 3. Note: The mass it's compared when ANNIHILATING.
- Effect of the card: if you FUSE this card, do what it is write here. Some planets have instead an ATTRACTION effect.
Setup
Shuffle the deck and deal 3 cards to each player, then place the deck in the centre of the board in such a way that every player can reach it, since the deck has to be shared by all the players. Choose who goes first (we suggest the last player that has taken a flight) and the game can start. Players take turns in clockwise order.
Playing a Turn
During your turn, you can perform only ONE action: you can choose between drawing a card from the deck or playing one of the cards in your hand.
- If you choose to draw a card from the deck, your turn ends and it passes to the next player.
- If you choose to play one of the cards in your hand, you can choose among three actions to perform:
- ATTRACT a planet,
- FUSE the mass of a planet,
- ANNIHILATE the planet of an opponent.
Then your turn ends.
Play an Action
ATTRACT a planet: You can put a card in front of you on the board and then your turn ends; BUT if there is on the card the following statement: "When you attract this planet [...]" in addiction [sic], do what it says and then your turn ends.
FUSE the mass of the planet: You discard one of your cards in your hand and put it in the discard pile, then do what the effect's text says, then your turn ends.
ANNIHILATE a planet: You discard one of the planets in your hand, then choose an opponent's planet with the same mass and put it in the discard pile. Your turn ends.
Marginal Note
DRAW (keyword): When a card text says "Draw", i.e. "Draw a card from the deck or the discard pile" it ALWAYS means the top card(s), otherwise, if it adds "of your choice" you can choose between all the cards in the deck/discard pile or player's hand. You don't have to reveal that card(s).
"THE FUSION EFFECT JUST PLAYED HAS NO EFFECT" This particular card can be FUSED only immediately after another fusion play. I.e. one opponent decide during his turn to fuse a planet that "Draw three cards, then discard one": if you want to prevent him/her to do so, you can fuse this planet from your hand. That player takes no action, and their fused card remains in the discard pile.
