Giant Panda Setup
Use the Forest side of the board. Add 10 Giant Pandas to the board in the pattern shown on the card; there will be 5 left in the supply. Make a supply pile of all 24 Deforestation tiles.
Giant Panda Offspring Rules
No special Offspring rules.
Giant Panda Destruction Rules
In each Destruction phase follow this procedure twice:
Choose a row or a column (a "line") that contains at least 1 Giant Panda. Roll the Destruction die to determine which space in that line receives the Deforestation tile. If there is already a Deforestation tile in that space, move the tile to the nearest space in that line without a Deforestation tile (which may or may not contain a Giant Panda). When a Deforestation tile is placed in a space, all Giant Pandas in the space are lost back to the supply.
Giant Panda Win Condition
In order to win the game, a nature reserve must exist at the time of a successful Voting Year. A nature reserve is any 3x3 (or larger) grid of spaces without Deforestation tiles in them.
