  • 25 game cards
  • 1 Corpse Girl card
  • 2 Info cards

3 to 6 Players, 10 Minutes, Ages 10+

Anatomy of Cards

Each card shows:

  1. Card strength (MP = Manpower)
  2. The name of the card.
  3. This is the ability of the card that activates when used face up. There is also an ability to activate just by holding it.
  4. Flavor text. Not directly related to the game.
  5. Card victory conditions and priorities.
  6. Number of identical cards (shown as people icons).

Game Preparation

  1. Set the Target Value based on the number of players: "9" for 3 players, "8" for 4 players, etc. (that is, Target Value = 12 − number of players). Place the corpse girl card in the center of the table, then overlay the front (blue) side of the info card to mark the Target Value. The second info card is a bonus.
  2. Adjust the number of cards according to the number of players. When playing with 4 or 6 players, remove 1 "Book Committee" to make a total of 24 cards. When playing 3 players, remove 1 each of "Co-workers", "Superior", "Public Committee", "Newspaper Club", and "Homecoming Club" to make 18 cards. When playing with 5 players, use all 25 cards.
  3. Mix the game cards and distribute them evenly to each player (with 3-4 players: 6 cards, 5 players: 5 cards, 6 players: 4 cards each).
  4. The player who has the "Student Organization Inside School" card will be the first player (just declare that you have it).

Flow of a Turn

  1. Choose a card from your hand and pick one way to use it:
    • Special Skill: Place the card face up in front of you and apply the effect of the ability.
    • Embalming: Place the card face down on the side of the corpse girl. Place cards so that the order in which they were placed is known.
    • Suspicion: Place the card face down in front of another player. You cannot place suspicions on yourself.
  2. At the end of a turn, a player with only one card in hand is finished (temporary out of the game). After that, they will not take any more turns (their hand will be locked). However, there are still suspicions.
  3. Pass the turn to the next player on the left.

End of Game

When all the players have finished playing, the game will be decided. Turn all the cards played to the embalming face up and add up the MP (Manpower). If the total value is equal to or higher than the Target Value on the Corpse Girl card, the embalming is successful.

Next, turn all the suspicion cards face up and add up the MPs against you. The player with the highest total allegations will be imprisoned. If players have the same value, both will be held. However, if everyone has the same value, no one will be charged (the total of allegations cannot be negative; if the total is less than 1, it will be treated as 0).

Finally, in victory condition priority order (increasing from 1), reveal your hand and determine if you have met its victory conditions. If the conditions are met, you immediately win, and the next person in priority order will not be checked (Did 1st priority win? Yes → Victory, otherwise did 2nd priority win? Yes → Victory, etc. If there is a winner, the judgement is over. So, if you win first, then others cannot win). Of course, players with the same priority win (or lose) together. Also, you can participate in the victory judgement even if imprisoned.

Supplemental Rules

If a card's ability cannot be used, it is skipped. For example, using the Lady when all other players hold only 1 card, or using the Homecoming Department when there is no card in the embalming, etc. If you use an Infected Person and the next turn does not come, of course the ability does not apply. In other words, you cannot use the ability even if you use it when there are 2 cards left in your hand. If you use the ability of the Newspaper Club and the player to the left has 1 card in their hand, skip that player and go to the next player that has more than 1 card.

Since the criminal card cannot be used, someone is always the criminal; however, due to the ability of the Homecoming Department, there is the possibility the criminal is applied to the embalming. In this case, the punch line is "There was no criminal, the girl died of illness". If the game ends with no winner, the game ends in annihilation.

Selection Rule

If it's "less interesting that the last card is protected" and participants all agree, you can play in "Chaos Mode" where the final card's ability is applied. (A player normally doesn't play with only one card left).

Card Reference

Each card lists its Manpower value, its special ability, flavor text, and its victory condition with priority (lower numbers are checked first).

Alien (MP -1)

While you have this card, you can respond to your talented abilities as if you were a criminal. Nothing happens when used. Let me see if humanity can answer correctly Priority 1 — Win if confined.

Infected Person (MP 0)

At the beginning of your next turn, if this card remains used, add 1 card from the embalming to your hand. But it's okay…! Because I just fell down… Priority 2 — Win if embalming fails.

Criminal (MP 0)

This card cannot be used face up or face down (moves depending on ability). It's a really interesting phenomenon. Priority 3 — Win if not confined.

Accomplice (MP 0)

Transfer one suspicion placed on a player to another player. You can make any alibi for that person Priority 3 — If the criminal wins, you win.

Student President (MP 3)

The owner of this card will be the first player (just tell them you have it). Nothing happens when used. In emergencies, someone takes command calmly Priority 4 — Win if embalming is successful.

Class Committee (MP 2)

Choose one other player. Choose one card from each other and give it face down to the other party. I wonder if we can talk with just two people Priority 4 — Win if embalming successful.

Talent (MP 2)

All players except you close their eyes. The player with the criminal sticks out their tongue. Have everyone open their eyes. I understand the criminal! Priority 4 — Win if embalming successful.

Disciplinary Committee (MP 1)

See all the cards of one other person. You must be confident in your eyes. Priority 4 — Win if embalming successful.

Health Committee (MP 1)

Select a used (face-up) card from another person who is not a health committee member and add it to your hand. First aid is a good thing. Priority 4 — Win if embalming successful.

Lady (MP 1)

Randomly draw one card from another's hand; give that person one card face down (the drawn card can also be returned). Who do you think I am? Priority 4 — Win if not confined.

Library Committee (MP 1)

See all the cards placed in the embalming (do not change the order of the cards). I memorized everything in acceptable textbooks Priority 4 — Win if embalming successful.

Newspaper Club (MP 1)

Each player chooses one card and hands it face down to the player on the left. Mmm! You can feel the sign of scoop! Priority 4 — Win if embalming successful.

Homecoming Dept. (MP 0)

Exchange 1 card in the embalming for 1 in hand. Can you be in such a place! I will let you go! Priority 5 — Win if no one wins.
