When a Mystery says to spend a Clue to place a Clue on it, can I place the token I just spent?
Several experienced players agree on this reading; there is no official ruling.

It depends on the wording. 'Place that Clue' means the spent token goes onto the card. 'Place a Clue' strictly draws one from the pool, though some players simply reuse the spent token because the draw would be random anyway.
