Components

  • 2 soccer dice
  • 1 Red Card
  • 1 Yellow Card

For 2 players or 2 teams. Ages 8 and up. Playing time about 20 minutes.

Game Flow with Two Players

Each player takes a soccer die. The two cards lie ready in the middle of the table. The youngest player begins. As the active player, you attack by rolling the die repeatedly in succession. Your opponent rolls only when the attacker has rolled a Foul. An attack begins at 0 points. If the attacker reaches exactly 50 points, he has scored a goal.

The soccer dice have the faces 5, 10, Through Pass (Steilpass), Foul, Offside (Abseits) and Penalty (Elfer), as well as white and black faces.

5, 10, Through Pass

With 5, 10 and Through Pass (20 points), the points are added together. The attacker must keep rolling until he scores a goal (50 points) or shoots past the goal (over 50 points).

Example: 5 + 10 + 10 + 10 + Through Pass = 55 points = no goal.

Example: 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 10 + 5 + 5 = 50 points = goal.

Foul

If the attacker rolls a Foul, the opponent, acting as referee, decides with his soccer die which card the active player receives.

  • 1st Foul: If the opponent rolls a white face, the attacker receives the Yellow Card with the "Warning" (Ermahnung) side facing up. If the opponent rolls a black face, the attacker immediately receives the Red Card, which stops his attack. Points rolled in that attack are forfeited.
  • 2nd Foul: On a white face, the "Warning" side of the Yellow Card is turned over to the plain yellow side. On a black face, the attack is stopped with the Red Card, and points rolled in that attack are forfeited.
  • 3rd Foul: The attacker receives the Red Card and his attack is stopped. Points rolled in that attack are forfeited.

Example: Through Pass + 1st Foul (Warning) + Through Pass + 2nd Foul (Yellow Card) + 10 = 50 points = goal.

Example: 5 + 1st Foul (Warning) + 10 + Through Pass + 2nd Foul (Red Card) = attack stopped.

Offside (applies only after 30 or more points have been rolled)

If the attacker rolls Offside and has already rolled 30 or more points earlier in the attack, his attack ends immediately and his points are forfeited.

Example: 5 + 5 + 10 + 10 + Offside = attack stopped.

Penalty (applies only after 30 or more points have been rolled)

If the attacker rolls Penalty and has already rolled 30 or more points earlier in the attack, he may take a penalty shot. He rolls once more. If he rolls a black face, he has scored. If he rolls a white face, he has missed the penalty.

Example: 5 + 5 + 10 + 10 + Penalty + black 5 = goal.

Example: 10 + Through Pass + Penalty + white Through Pass = penalty missed.

Change of Attack

An attack ends with a goal (50 points), a shot past the goal (over 50 points), a Red Card, an Offside, or a Penalty (scored or missed). The opponent then attacks. The Yellow and Red Cards are placed back in the middle of the table.

End of the Game

The player who has scored two goals wins the match (2:1 or 2:0). The players agree whether they want to play a series of three or five matches.

Rules for Team Play

With more than two players, two teams are formed. In each match, one player from Team A plays against one player from Team B. As many matches are played as there are participating players. Each match brings one point. Goals are also recorded. The team with the most points wins. If points are tied, the better goal ratio decides. If it remains a tie, a decider match is played.
