How do I track victory points past 50 and what are the cubes for?
The Gain Victory Points action in the rulebook describes the second marker and +50 book tokens.

Your cube on the victory point track scores 0-49. When you pass 50 you place a second cube of your color on the 50 icon in the top right of the board and keep going with the original marker, moving the second one on each time you pass 0 again. The other cubes track Evolution and Turn Order.
