The Game
Components: secret tunnels, treasure chest, doors, Beginner cards, tumbling tidepool, key, Advanced cards, treasure balls.
Object of the Game
Work together to find all six treasure balls and open the treasure chest!
Getting Ready to Play
- Make sure the doors and treasure chest are closed.
- Drop all six balls in the secret tunnels. (Give the game board a little jiggle to make sure they are well hidden.)
- Place the Beginner cards face down in a pile.
- Give the key to the youngest player, who will go first.
Now you're ready to play Cranium Cariboo!
How to Play
Draw a card to start your turn. This game has four types of cards:
- Match a letter card to the first letter of the word on a door.
- Match a number card to the number of things on a door.
- Match a color card to the color of things on a door.
- Match a shape card to the shape of things on a door.
Find one door that matches your card, then open it with the key. If you can't find a door that matches your card, it's the next player's turn.
Leave the door open so you know you've looked there already.
If you find a treasure ball, drop it into the tumbling tidepool.
Pass the key to the player on your left.
Winning
When the last treasure ball is placed in the tumbling tidepool, the Cariboo treasure chest will pop open. The player who opened the treasure chest wins!
Playing Again
Slide the cover of the tumbling tidepool away from the treasure chest to remove the treasure balls.
