Card Mechanics
ATTACK - Choose an opponent card, they must show you the card and then put it into a discard pile.
Attacking a card is the only mechanic that will trigger any effect the card has when it is attacked.
DISCARD - A player must choose which of their cards to add to a discard pile.
STEAL - Take an opponent card and add it to your hand.
EXPOSE - Choose an opponent card, they must lay the card out for all players to see.
These may be used on cards that are already exposed. Exposed cards that change hands do not need to stay exposed.
GIVE - A player must choose which of their cards to give to an opponent.
WHEN THIS CARD IS ATTACKED - These cards cannot be played, but trigger an action that must be performed when attacked.
Objective
Eliminate all other player's cards and be the last player with cards remaining in your hand to win the Champion's Crown.
The Deck
The deck is made of 104 unique cards, divided evenly into 2 card type categories - 52 Weapon cards, and 52 Equipment cards.
Cards are also divided into 4 categories based on their strength, noted by their color and number of stars.
Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.
Card Types
WEAPON type cards all remove opponent cards, either by attacking cards, stealing cards, or making players discard cards.
EQUIPMENT type cards allow for more strategic plays. They can let you draw cards, expose cards, or boost your turn.
Some equipment only triggers when attacked and cannot be played. (See back)
How To Play
-
Shuffle and deal each player 7 cards.
The rest are put into a shared community deck to draw from.
-
Determine the order of who's turn is first with an eye staring contest.
-
Each player draws 1 card from the deck at the start of their turn. (If there is no deck left, discard 1 instead.)
-
Choose 1 card in your hand and follow all instructions and MECHANICS (see back) on the card in the order they are written until you cannot continue without playing another card.
If you hit any trigger cards, follow any instructions on it before continuing your turn. You may also pass your turn.
Add any cards used to a discard pile.
-
When only 1 player has cards remaining, they are declared the victor, and get to give out the consolation prize.
