1. Use with Concordia
At the beginning, each player randomly receives one patrician (blue cards) or both citizens (green cards).
The blue patricians are permanent cards. They remain with their owner for the whole game. Conversely, the green citizens offer a one-time advantage. After their use, they must be discarded. The 6 forum cards can be used only in combination with the appropriate personality card (red font below).
ADVENTUS ARCADIUS
Architectus. Buy 1 single good.
The player may buy exactly 1 good before or after they build houses.
CURSUS ARCADIUS
Architectus. Occupied lines do not count as movement steps.
Example: The player moves along 5 lines. 3 lines are occupied by other colonists. The player needs 2 movement steps.
VITUS MARCELLUS
Mercator. Sell wine for 8 sestertii each.
If the player sells wine, he will get 8 sestertii each. Buying wine still costs 6 sestertii each. Selling and buying wine in one turn is forbidden.
LINUS POMPEIUS
Praefectus. The bonus good may be chosen freely out of the province.
Example: The province produces cloth, wine, and food. The player chooses food as bonus good.
RETURNUS
Take 1 personality card back to the hand.
Example: The player takes their already played Senator back to the hand.
SEXTUS
Mercator. Trade 6 single goods.
The player may trade up to 6 single goods instead of the usual two types of goods.
2. Use with Concordia Salsa
The new forum cards are shuffled among the old. For balance reasons, we recommend removing 4 random patricians from the supply during initial setup.
MINUS DENARIUS
Senator. 1 single good may be sold for 2 sestertii less.
In every turn, the player may additionally sell one single good.
Example: The player sells 1 cloth for 5 sestertii.
EMERITUS SCIPIO
Senator. The Senator may be used as a Consul.
Note: If the Senator is used as a Consul, the player may accordingly buy only one card.
Component Notes
The small salt bag at the very bottom of the sheet marks the 8 new forum cards.
