48 cards, 1 die, 1 rulebook.
Before the First Game
The cards are carefully separated from one another. There are 48 cards in play, with which 6 clown figures are to be laid. Each figure consists of 8 cards. These are numbered 1–8 on the left side. Six cards show the number 1 (= 6 legs), and so on up to six cards with the number 8 (= 6 hats).
On the right side of each card the dice points are given, by which the cards can be rolled.
Goal of the Game
The goal is to build your clown figure from 8 cards, from bottom to top, over eight dice rounds, and at the end to have the largest figure. Depending on whether one rolls wide or narrow cards, ever new and funny clown figures arise, larger or smaller.
Setup
At the start of the game, the cards are sorted by their numbers into 8 stacks.
Course of Play
In the first dice round, rolling goes around the table in turn for the cards with the number 1 (= the clown's shoes). Each player takes the card whose dice points he rolls.
If that card is already gone, because another player has already rolled that dice number earlier, the player may take this card from that other player and thereby begin his own figure.
Rolling goes around in turn for as long as it takes until every player has a card with the number 1. Then the second round begins.
In the same way, the 6 cards with the number 2 are now rolled for, then in the third round the cards with the number 3, and so on.
If 6 persons take part in the game, the last player who does not yet have a card no longer needs to roll for his card. He receives the remaining sixth card without rolling.
The higher the dice points rolled, the larger the figure becomes.
End of the Game
After the 8th dice round, every player has completed his figure. The winner is whoever has the largest figure.
Translator's Notes
- The German text reads "die übriggebliebene 6. Karte", literally "the remaining 6th card". It is rendered here as "the remaining sixth card", the last card not yet taken in the current number's round.
