Object
The goal of Churrascaria is to eat as much meat as possible while avoiding the succulent sides and desserts that end up on your plate. Meats add to your score, while sides and desserts subtract from it. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.
Components
- 60 Food Cards
- 38 Action/Reaction/Special Cards
- 6 Food Request Tokens
- 6 Rules Reference Cards
Setup
- Give each player a Rules Reference Card, a Food Request Token, a Salada Card, and a Frango Card. Return any remaining copies of each of these cards to the box.
- Shuffle the Food Deck and place it within easy reach of all players.
- Separate the Summon the Passadores! Cards from the Action Deck and shuffle the deck. Note: To play the game with 2 players, remove the 5 Play with Their Food Cards from the Action Deck and set them aside.
- Deal each player 4 Action Cards to start their hand.
- Shuffle the Summon the Passadores! Cards back into the Action Deck.
- Each player should place their Salada and Frango Cards face-up in front of them to form their Plate. Be sure to leave space for 2 more Food Cards on your Plates.
- Each player should place their Food Request Token beside their Plate, red-side up. Leave space on the other side of the Plate for your Stomach Pile (a face-down pile for the Food cards they eat).
2-Player Setup Example
Layout: Action Deck and Food Deck between the players; each player has a Food Request Token, a Rules Reference Card, and a hand of 4 Action/Reaction Cards.
Turn Order
The player who most recently grilled a steak in the real world goes first.
On your turn, you may perform any combination of two of the following actions in any order, including doing the same action twice. You must perform two actions and cannot pass:
- Flip any Food Request Token at the table. This may be your own or someone else's.
- Perform a single Eat action, moving one Food Card from your Plate to your Stomach Pile.
- Play a single Action Card from your hand.
- Discard any number of cards from your hand and draw the same number to replace them.
After completing all actions for the turn, draw up to your maximum hand size of 4 cards.
Note: If a player draws a Summon the Passadores!, they must resolve it immediately before drawing any more cards or performing any other actions.
If a player goes to draw an Action Card at any time and none are available, shuffle the Action Deck discard pile to create a new Action Deck.
As the last step on your turn, check your Food Request Token. If it is green-side up, draw a Food Card and place it face-up on your Plate. If your Plate already contains 4 Food Cards, you must eat the card with the lowest value (moving it to your Stomach Pile) to make room for the new card. (This Eat action cannot be prevented).
Note: When forced to eat a card in this way you still trigger any effects on that card.
If a player's Food Request Token is red-side up, they cannot draw a Food Card, even if an Action Card would have otherwise forced them to.
Ending the Game
When the final Food Card has been drawn, the final round begins.
All players will receive one final turn. The game will end immediately if the Food Deck is empty and no more Meat Cards are on the table.
Scoring
Players add up the value of all cards in their Stomachs. Meat Cards add points; Side and Dessert Cards subtract points. Cards on your Plate do not count toward your score. The player with the most points wins. If there is a tie, the player with the most Meat Cards wins. If there is still a tie, the player with the highest-value Meat Card wins.
Food Deck
Food cards in Churrascaria are broken into three categories. Meats, Sides, and Desserts.
Each Food Card shows: the card name in Portuguese, its point value, effect text, its food type, and flavor text.
Food Cards with Effects
If a Food Card has an effect listed on it, that effect triggers when the Eat action is used on that card. Lower-value cards provide bonus actions, while higher-value cards have a cost. These bonuses and costs trigger any time an Eat action is used on a turn, even if that action is the result of an Action Card or happens during someone else's turn.
For example, if you use the Eat action on a Frango, you may immediately flip any one food request token on the table.
If you use the Eat action on the Picanha, you must have an additional action available and both actions must be used to complete the Eat action.

Action Deck
There are three types of card in the Action Deck. Actions, Reactions, and Special Cards. Each card shows its name, card type, and effect text.
Action Cards
You may only play Action Cards during your turn unless granted a bonus action during someone else's turn due to a Food Effect such as that granted by the File Mignon. Action Cards will specify if they can only target you, target any player (including yourself), or only target another player. Many cards can be used both offensively or defensively depending on who they target.
Reaction Cards
Reaction Cards may be played for free in response to specified actions. Reaction Cards can only target the last card played or action announced.
Food Coma may be played to cancel a single Eat action any time any player performs an Eat action. This includes Gorge Thyself but does not include the forced Eat action from gaining a new Food Card while having a full Plate.
Stop Playing with the Food may be played in response to any other played Action Card or Reaction Card to cancel them. This includes another Stop Playing with the Food card.
Play with Their Food may be played any time an Action Card would force the removal of a Food Card from your Plate. This includes both Action Cards that would steal a Food Card and Action Cards that would force an Eat action. Once played, you may choose a new target for the Action Card. Note: An action may be redirected to any player, including the person who played the Action Card.
Special Card
Summon the Pasadores! (spelled "Passadores" elsewhere in the rulebook) is a special card and must be played immediately upon being drawn. These cards cannot be affected by Reaction Cards.
