Under the FAQ as players quote it, any player who placed at least one corruption token in the region during the round counts, whatever the phase or source (Stench of Death, an upgraded Great Unclean One, Perverse Infiltration). The rulebook's original wording limits it to tokens placed in the corruption step; the later FAQ supersedes that.
